Finasteride will raise estrogen and lower DHT, but it doesn't lower testosterone levels, it raises them.

Proxiphen was the only thing I changed in my regimen. It could be a coincidence that I am noticing much more hair shedding than I did while I was on Proxiphen. I can't know for sure, but it appears that it was helping maintain the frontal region where I applied it.

Minoxidil doesn't actually do anything to combat the balding process. It might give you a little bit of growth, but using it by itself isn't going to do anything against hair-loss as brutal as yours. In all honesty, Propecia is probably your only choice.
