Yes, I can feel effects when I dissolve 2.5mg! I may have become hypersensitive to the drug. But when you look at it in different terms besides concentration you can see why. If you dissolve 2.5mg into 60ml, you'll be getting dosed around 0.083mg per day. Factor in that we aren't too sure...

I'm sorry to say that, for me anyway, topical finasteride has not worked. It may be because of the low concentration I'm using (0.02% w/v or 1/4 crushed pill in 60ml), but anymore and I get side effects! (Been using it for the past year)

If you're allergic to finasteride, you'll get a reaction in hours! Try tacking an allergy test.

Minoxidil is your best bet - ride it out.

Don't forget - it may simply be that dutasteride is a better Type2 inhibitor! Studies have also shown that dutasteride can bind the different varients of type2 as well (as in genetic variants)

Very interesting CCS! I actually use a 2% nizoral cream, although in very small amounts, in the morning with my topical finasteride. It's good to see there's some scientific backing to my regime :p

Some people can.. some people can't. Give it a shot, but perhaps consider putting some finasteride into your minoxidil (say 5mg into 60ml) for that extra boost.

Don't forget that graph was drawn using -blood- DHT levels. There is data for this, although much more variable (hence not likely to be published).

Hydrocortisone is something you should give a try. Get the weak stuff (1% or less), put a tiny amount on everyday for a month. If nothing happens, stop it.
