I'll bet you put most guys your age to shame. We both get an A for effort, though, right? I'm not going to put down my dumbbells till I'm in my grave (maybe I'll be buried with them!).

I'm in the same boat as the OP but a bit thinner up top, probably having telogen effluvium issues and it's totally devastating. I have OCD and I can't stop thinking about my hair at any point during the day, I even need to touch it regularly to feel that it's there to give me comfort. My treatment ain't doing shit, not even temporary gains so I can see where he is coming from if he has any kind of similar issues as me, but he doesn't seem to be on much right now as far as treatment goes?

yeah, it's absolutely fucked. i have thin hair on top, it's just my terrible camera quality doesnt show it.

i'm sure since i have symmetrical recession of hairline, it's MBP not Telogen Effluvium. It's not about OCD, it's just that i'm aware i became far uglier and my balding is noticeable, so i'm sort of conscious about it and it drains a lot of emotional energy out of you having to think about your changed perception in other people's eyes.

u got any pics of ur hair? how do u style it?

no, i'm not on any meds as of yet. contemplating finasteride / minoxidil

I can see what I can do for pictures but on a daily basis I've stopped styling my hair (sort of), only for nights out and stuff because it takes time and effort and that is not something I would do 6 in the morning before heading to work and towards the end of the working hours my hair is not what it was in the morning when I styled it because my job is on the move a bit so the only way to keep it nice throughout an entire day would be to use strong hold products but my hair would get soggy and flat with it so on a normal day I only use boosting powder and/or sea salt spray and rock the messy look, thankfully my job doesn't require me to have every hair in place any way.

Fucktards who start treatments too late and then complain it didn't work always give me a chuckle.

This is what happens when imbreed animals are allowed for internet connection. The fuckers couldn't spot a receding hairline if their life depended on it (and ironically enough, it does).

Hair transplants are fucking stupid if you are actively balding. Get on treatments NOW.

You have just broken the number one rule on HairLossTalk.com.com.
You never use another man's hair loss against him.
    NEVER!!

Well I must have missed that. Anyway, please reconsider using "bald" as a pejorative.

It's not under my agenda to offend anyone in this forum. When I check my hairline and I see lack of density I feel like killing, this is the vent section after all.

I still think anyone not telling this guy that he is balding and he should get on treatments should get banned.

I wish all I had was recession or female pattern. I got the jackpot lot and then some.
I think you still look good if that helps, but I understand the despair nonetheless.

Glad we motivate you, and thank you, as always, for motivating me in return. Wanting to look your best does not end for everyone when things start to go south. I think it's easier to stand out among others your age when you're older if you stay in shape because there are fewer of us who put in that extra effort needed to maintain our weight and stay as fit as possible.

Haha, hot I am not! I'll bet your wife admires the big effort you put into maintaining your hair and physique. I'm sure she goes the extra mile too, although it seems guys get better results than we do. My husband is 62 (years young), and his skin, although loose in places, just doesn't seem to look as bad as mine. I guess you guys wear old age better.

Yup, DH, you and I are friends for life. xo
