I just apply 99% to my head and nothing to the base, as the salon does. I then wait 5 minutes for the glue on my head and base cure. I'll spray alcohol on my head just before attaching to get some adjustment time in case I need to position the system once I put it on.
I've tried 99% and C22. It's still a mystery how the salon can remove my system and come back 10 minutes later, with absolutely no glue residue remaining. How can they clean a system that fast? I may ask the next time to see if they're using some secret sauce.
Sometimes I wonder if there is an average time that men stop wearing systems. I just started and it is a lot to learn and I'm always experimenting. I could see getting frustrated at some point even though I like wearing at the moment.
I'm currently in a contract with a salon, but its expensive ($300 per month) so I'm looking for someone in the Dallas area that I can pay to just do an initial cut in.
I use the protouch cleanskin base cleaner for my UTS. I soak some paper towels in the solution, and press them against the skin, then seal everything up in a ziplock for a few hours. The glue comes off better then 91% alcohol, but it still takes some time to get it all off. I may try some c22 to...
Thanks for putting this all together and trying out different suppliers! That's really helpful to hear about your experiences and to see that they were all pretty decent, especially for those of us who just started. I've only used SHP for stock, but I want to get a custom piece so I may try...
I know most people have issues with volume after getting a new hair system, but after a couple of weeks, my system starts to look thatched and like a dead cat on my head. Is this because of too many products? I tried cleaning the UTS in a solution of water and conditioner for 5-10 minutes but it...
I think if anyone asked I would say it was a hair transplant, as in my head it seems less stigmatizing. I'm in my 40's and do think that my hair is almost too perfect. If someone does call me out, I'm definitely going to ask what was it that they noticed to assume that.
