Davids story, with pics - (18 and receded)

Propecia may hold your temples and recession, and it is definately the sure way to go if you want to prevent crown loss, perhaps even reverse what you may already have. Rogaine is good for regrowth on the crown AND temples. It is not marketed for working on the temples because it hasn't been...

Davids story, with pics - (18 and receded)

Re: Davids story, with pics If your problem is only recession, I suggest propecia, and maybe even minoxidil. If your hair is longer its easier to hide it, but make sure you arent having any balding on the crown. Do you have anymore pictures? It is kind of hard to tell from the ones you posted.

Association between smoking and hair loss

Whatever effect tobacco/and or marijuana have on the hair is negligible at best. I know many SMOKERS, and many Marijuana users, and an overwhelming perentage of these people have PERFECT HAIR. There are too many counterexamples to seriously worry about the affect of smoke on our hair.

    Evasive's story (pics)

THis does not look like balding to me. I could be wrong, however since the picture isn't the best quality to determine.

I don't think your reversal of Telogen Effluvium can be attributed to rogaine alone. If it was ONLY Telogen Effluvium, then a lot of your regrowth is natural, and would have happend with or without rogaine.

    Is there any HOPE?

The pharmacutical companies have no shortage of drugs that they can sell you. Given the coniditons that afflict the human body, it is ridiculous to assume that the "miracle cure" for hairloss is intentionally witheld due to a profit motive. Think about what happens when there is a cure. You...

    Evasive's story (pics)

The pictures you have provided are not sufficient enough to make a judgement. From them, it does not appear that you are balding. Pictures of your hairline and hair when wet would allow a better judgement to be made.

    Antrage's Story *pics*

There is nothing currently that would suggest why he should even reach a Norwood "2.5". You are basing your advice and opinions on your own perceptions, which as I mentioned before, are seriously detached from reality. The basis for your opinions on Antrage's hairloss should be the evidence he...

    crown pic

Take it from a balding guy, when you begin to go bald, YOU WILL KNOW INSTANTLY. The swirl in the back of people's heads is usually see through due to the hair growing in all different directions, and not layering on top of each other. You have nothing to worry about, judging from your crown.

    Antrage's Story *pics*

Taug, given your history of delusional perceptions, I do not think anybody on this forum can take your advice with regards to their hairloss. Antrage has absolutely no "thinning", or recession. His hair is perfectly fine, and only somebody with body dismorphic disorder (which I guess you suffer...

You don't need treatments. You are not balding.

    how old is everyone here?

20, started balding at 17. Bothered me at 17, but I wore my hair long until i realized my thin, limp strips of bacon weren't fooling even me.... The worst part is..... Father didn't start balding till 40, Grandfather didnt start balding till 60 or so... I figure my kids will be born bald...

    AZ's Story

Excellent comeback. The difference is really noticeable. The finasteride/minoxidil one-two punch works well.
