What are the characteristics of miniaturized hairs?

I have some hairs on my hairline that never grow. They're black (like the rest of my hair) and very thick, about the same thickness as the hairs from the back of my head. I don't notice them shedding and they're very hard to pull out. All the hair behind them is very, very thick. I first...

Sly Bald Guys they all look like convicts and Biker gangs!

You can say what you want about them, but they're happier and more confident than most of the users here. It's a bit silly to mock them for overcoming something you're still stuck on, isn't it?

    What percent of the population

Has at least one NW5+ family member? I mean father, grandfather or uncle. I know there's no way to know for sure, but what would be your estimate?

Mature Hairline or male pattern baldness (only 17)????

What do you consider a juvenile hairline? When I say juvenile, I mean the hairline they had when they were 10. This would be an example... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_f09YP6bu4Vw/T ... or+Men.jpg I only know very 2-3 17 year olds with a hairline like that. They all have very small temples, which...

Mature Hairline or male pattern baldness (only 17)????

I graduated high school in June. About 65% of guys had buzz cuts and I can only think of 2 or 3 who had a typical low, straight baby hairlines. They all had temples, not massive ones, but it definitely wasn't the hairline they had when they were 5. I always notice baby hairlines on guys my age...

Mature Hairline or male pattern baldness (only 17)????

I would say he definitely has a 100% normal hairline for a 17 year old. I don't know any guys who had a straight "baby" hairline at that age.

    Question Regarding Body hair.

I would imagine it has something to do with DHT. I do notice that many men who go bald young tend to be very hairy. On the other hand, my uncle is the hairiest person i've ever seen in my life. You can barely see the skin through the hair on his chest and back...the beard he can grow is...

I think I would go out of my mind if not for this forum

The people on this forum are so much more logical than those who inhabit most hairloss sites. A lot of other forums are full of depressed losers who would call a juvenile hairline "advanced hairloss" and start listing meds for the user to pick up. Some of those heads of hair would leave Brad Pit...

    Mature hairline?

I'm just wondering if you would consider this to be a mature hairline. I have early male pattern baldness on my dad's side, and no male pattern baldness but deep mature hairlines on my mom's side, so as I'm sure you can guess, I'm a little confused. The men who lose their hair on my dad's side are typically NW3 with advanced...

Am I safe for a while?

Huh? I know everyone loses around 100 hairs a day, my point was I'm not shedding in excessive amounts. I only notice 1 or 2 hairs falling out in the shower (I check my hands after I'm done shampooing and look in the tub when I'm cleaning it.) Obviously no one notices all the hair they lose...

How true is "If your moms dad wasnt bald, you wont be" ?

You can inherit anyone's hairloss pattern. My dad's side is generally NW2.5+ by my age but I still have a juvenile hairline like my mother's father. My dad, however, had thick heads of hair on his mother's side but a bald dad and he ended up going bald very young. Genes are crazy.

This guy looks good close to bald without a shaved head

Definitely not a bad looking guy. I feel like I've seen him before, who is he?

Am I safe for a while?

Hairloss is pretty common on my dad's side of the family. By common, I mean every guy had some very noticable hairloss by 18. My grandfather was a NW2.5 at 20 (that's the earliest picture I can find of him) My father was a NW1.5 (maybe closer to NW2) at 18, NW3 by 25 and NW5 by 32. One uncle...
