^^Yes only post in here if you have something positive to say
This is probably completely irrelevant, but the representation on this interview was almost exclusively Organ Technologies.
I know there are handshakes and photos between Riken and Kyocera as well. But I guess the focus really should be on Organ Technologies when it comes to this actual research project.
Again probably not relevant, splitting hairs, etc. But thought I'd mention it.
No just annoying for me as a new person to read through 100 pages and about 25% is relevant to the actual topic and 75% is BS of going back and forth of negative BS and people addressing it.
its science it will prove or disprove it self in time...if you overly invested in its failure/sucess than why follow a thread.
Admin, is interview translation completed?
Translation is complete. It took her 18 hours. I feel terrible, and also incredibly thankful to her. As you may know, it's part of Japanese culture to do things with excellence and pour all your effort into producing quality work.
Will update later today with status. Going to put together the text and video today into the morning then publish on schedule Sun night Mon morning. Also have to send to Organ for review.
Regenerative medicine is still on early stage of development and we still have to learn a lot more new things about stem cells and that takes years of research. It is not easy at all like we think.
Many new stem cell treatments failed to give good results about heart and brain attacks.
Hair follicles ain't on the same level of complexity as cerebral or heart tissue.
Besides, I'd like to know how regenerative medicine can be useful in the treatment (or prevention) of heart attacks and strokes. Like what?
I would like to thank you all of you for your hard work. This is great for our community. Thank you to her
Yes! Thank you admin, Riken and translator for the interview and making this clear. Hope for good news in few days)
What are brain attacks?
I think he means a stroke lol
Translation was finished and text was going for captioning onto video tonight for completion tomorrow. I received an email from the CEO of Organ Technologies requesting a copy of the final English even though they have already been sent the final Japanese. I thought we were good to go. So I sent him the final English. Unfortunately I then received the following email from him:
(corrected for proper english)
"I have received everything. Please wait for us to fully check the english text. We know you want to publish quickly, but we want to have a week to confirm the content, because this week is "Respect-for-the-Elderly" week. It is a public holiday in Japan. Sorry, and please understand."
Hmmm... we need a Respect-for-the-Bald week.
I was given permission to tell you all this much from the interview at least:
Human trials to begin 2018. Commercial availability still on track for 2020.
Least they are being polite about it anyway great job admin!
The Respect-for-the-Aged Holiday is on the 19th, on Monday. How come it lasts a whole week? Dunno ...
This is GREAT news! Even better than I could have thought! Sign me up
I'm going out tomorrow and buying a bottle of champagne. Anyone in Toronto wanna celebrate with me?
First of all, they have to prove that this treatment works on humans. They don’t know that yet. Mouse and humans are not same in most parts. We have already seen treatments that works on rats, but failed to give results on humans.
