This is my last post for today, but Johnny please reconsider taking these drugs. Ikarus and Dhtcel are not doctors and they are not scientists. If anything goes wrong they will not help you. They are strangers and what happens to you does not impact them. Does their behavior and responses to me and others really seem like reliable and trustworthy individuals? These are serious drugs that should only be given by a doctor, but no doctor would prescribe them to you for a reason. If you are worried about side effects, taking experimental drugs by the advice of strangers on the internet is not a good idea.

Has there been research done on the side-effects of Bicalutamide in men? If so, could I have a link to a source? I'm not taking sides here. I would genuinely like to know.
I’m not home atm

What about ODM-201 Darolutamide? How does that compare to bica?

Topical and systemic I guess

I do. Not much cause it’s expensive but I have access to a US based chem provider with high purity.

I’d want to make it in a simple alcohol based vehicle but I do also have a transdermal cream with better specs than plo gel.

It’s just I have like 2 creams already and I really don’t wana overload my head with just cream

I’m talking an oral source, someone needs to be willing to do oral darolutamide and I’m willing to be the one,
I just need a source

How’d you find/make them stats for the best androgen receptor antagonist?. If bica is better than ODM-201 Darolutamide then just stick with bica.

There’s a thread on here where people tried topical Darolutamide and it did end up giving similar sides to enza with like no results

First of all topical doesn’t work as well as oral because the majority of AR are in adipose tissue (fat cells) AR is also expressed in epidermal cells as well as in fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and endothelial cells of blood vessels in the dermal area. AR is also found located also in the flat fibroblast-like cells of Pacinian corpuscles. In nongenital skin, AR is also expressed in the basal cells and glandular cells of sebaceous glands, in the outer root sheath of hair follicles, and in eccrine sweat glands.

If you consume oral Bicalutamide or oral Flutamide or any other NSAA AR antagonist, it has to be metabolized by the CYP3A4 metabolite. Then the metabolism of the AA blocks AR in all parts of the body, now you may say THATS BAD! But let me explain, as long as some AR outside of the cytoskeleton is left uneffected by an AA, it can change shape and still enter the nucleus where it can transcribe androgen dependent genes like balding. That’s why people who use topicals generally do not get as near good results as those who use orals. People using topicals only block a portion of AR so they can still continue balding. Also darolutamide, enzalutamide, And bicalutamide are all similar in effectiveness in reducing PSA by +90% but darolutamide and enzalutamide can take care of bicalutamide resistant cells, aka Mutant AR. Additionally daro and enza have a stronger mechanism of action than bicalutamide.

Also for bica to affect AR in muscle mass or testicles or bone mass is impossible since local concentrations of testosterone are so high in these areas that no dose would affect them adversely.

Most the stats for PSA reductions were hard to find since I had to measure graphs and right down pre/post PSA levels.

Hope this helped.

DHTcel, Some guy earlier in this thread simply expressed concern about the safety of these drugs and you “disliked” that too. So what is this? Some kind of gestapo/Nazi mentality where no one is allowed to express any concern or objection unless it agrees with what you and Ikarus believe?

HLV

You're right. These drugs can cause irreversible harm and they should not be promoted like that.
I'm using strong AA and high dose estradiol and I don't think my regimen is OK for 99% of the men, even for those who really want to keep their hair. And we don't really know the long term issues of Bicalutamide or Cyproterone ...

Ok men take it for treating prostate cancer but ... because they have no other choice. It's not like they would want to take it if they were healthy. Bicalutamide has a safe profil ... for men who have prostate cancer. It must mean something, no ? Healthy men don't take drugs like that. We cannot rationally promote Bicalutamide or/and Estradiol like they are the best way to cure baldness. No ... Bicalutamide (+Estradiol) is for trans MTF and for desperate men. Only them.

And I agree with you a Gestapo/Nazi mentality has emerged, I'm really sad to observe that. And you're very right to express your concerns and you should keep going and not be the only one. It doesn't mean people who are taking Bicalutamide/spironolactone/Cypro/Estradiol are wrong, just they choose an very extreme path. And they should be fully aware of that simple fact.

Very well explained. Telling that finasteride has more potential side effects than bicalutamide is just wrong. You just promoting one of the strongest anti androgen to casual guys like its a magic pill. There is no way its safer than finasteride while it blocks all your androgens and increases your estrogen levels drastically. When this much of change happens surely your masculinity will be effected.

I have suggested to a few people bicalutamide just because it has better profile than other extreme drugs and they choosed to go extreme route. I personally used bical for a while and i guarentee you when it comes to side effects its worse than dutasteride for sure.

Just let people know the facts, don't promote your favorite drug and let them decide which path they are willing to go.

Bica is more safe than finasteride or dutasteride, gyno as a side effect from bica is nothing compared to people on finasteride and dutasteride who can’t produce sperm or have children because of a lack of androgens. If you look at hairliciously on YouTube he stopped taking finasteride when he was trying to conceive a child.

Thank you for your words Itchymadscalp and Mryellowman. it is definitely sad the way this forum has gone. Advising individuals to take extreme drugs while also telling them to avoid doctors is beyond wrong.

To be honest I couldn’t care less if inidividuals like Ikarus state that they are more knowledgeable about hairloss than me. If it gives him some validation in life, then so be it, it’s not important to me, but when they are putting someone in potential danger that’s when i have a problem.

They are just amateurs who are convinced they are now above doctors after a few months of research on google.

Ikarus, this isn’t the way to portray yourself in a professional manner, especially when giving out medical advice.

We aren’t advising anyone to use these medications. He just made a thread expressing information, and people are commenting nonsense without providing evidence. As I said, I do not recommend anyone to use bicalutamide unless they are non-responders to dutasteride, and suffer with truly aggressive hair loss. If they are thinking of using spironolactone, it’s safer to use bicalutamide in comparison. I do not think it’s safer than 5AR inhibitors because one is used for the treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia, whilst the other is used for prostate cancer.

I think a few months of research on Google would have done the hair specialist I visited some great use. She might have actually known what dutasteride was before I told her!

I think you’ll find your posts in previous threads disagrees with that comment.

There’s another one! Buy one get one free, sweetie!

It doesn’t affect me at all apart from further damaging what little credibility you have left at this point.

This is not how someone giving out medical advice should behave.

I don’t think these regimens are great for most men either. However, there are particular patients who begin balding insanely at young ages; there are most likely similar cases to mine. I am guessing you have seen the condition of my hair, and you cannot even deny that 5AR inhibitors would do nothing. Although cases similar to mine are rare, they have to be treated differently. We know the long-term issues of cyproterone acetate since it’s heavily documented; prolonged use can lead to meningiomas, prolactinoma and serious hepatic incidences.

Bicalutamide is used to treat female pattern hair loss and female acne, along with non-binary patients. Anti-androgens are rarely used in men since people still believe DHT is the only hormone to cause hair loss, and that’s evidently not true. Not a single soul on this thread is promoting the use of estradiol... At the end of the day, people should take this information with a grain of salt and do their own research.
