Unfortunately for me we won't really know about these two cause I have a cream with a myriad of other things and am currently on NOTHING and havent been for a good like 2 years. My situation is bad though so any regrowth would be great. And I am a diffuse thinner so my hair line is more or less there its just invisible strings in a large portion of the front and crown.

BUT

It looks like Daro is trying to get approved in Japan and here through FDA on account of its efficacy and safety so thats whats up!
I will go off the Phase 3 that was done here https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1815671

Does anyone know how to convert daily applications to topical? I know theres a formula for it used in pharmacy.... That would be much appreciated
In the study they did 600mg (300mg twice) daily

And for the Dimethylcurcumin theres a phase 2 for efficacy for acne going on and their max concentration cream was 0.025% so I'll do that or maybe more for my topical.

It definitely makes you more neotenic. I wish Ein was still around, since I have a plethora of questions to ask him...
I'm sorry I wasn't around for so long. I have a jam-packed schedule and I can barely manage to spare some time to check messages on my phone. But I'll try to answer all the questions you have now that I'm back for a while.

Hi, lol... What were your questions?
(This is a very interesting thread by the way. I've been on Bicalutamide for two years, and I can say that it's been, by far, the best decision of my life. No side effects, other than gynecomastia.)
hey there! Would like to ask some questions. Do you recommend starting finasteride before bica for a 17 year old male?

It entirely depends on what your goals are.
If you feel like your hair loss is very severe (or not so severe but very distressing), or you're done with your puberty, or you don't mind halting further masculinization, or something on similar grounds like hair loss BDD, you should prefer Bicalutamide.
If the above cases are not valid, you can give Finasteride a shot. (I feel that this thing has insignificant effects on hair, but whatever.)

If you don't want any sexual side effects, go for Bicalutamide.
If you want extra protection for your hair, use both simultaneously. (The mechanisms are very different, and will be the strongest antiandrogen combo.)

I have severe hair loss, but for now it has stopped for no apparent reason. If I could easily get a prescription for bica I wouldnt think twice. My dad's friends are doctors, so there is a chance.
Do you think Bica+duta=hair loss 100% stopped?

Bicalitamide + Dutasteride = '98% chances of stopping Androgenic Alopecia'
That means only stopping further loss.
There is no guarantee of regrowth of already lost hair.
You'll need to try minoxidil for that (even better with microneedling).

Currently no one can even notice I am losing hair, even hair loss spotters like us ;) so this combo will be my savior.
Although I find the case of itchymadscalp really interseting. Did he continue to lose hair even on HRT? :(

I have been on bicalutamide for almost two months so far, and it has been an experience. Originally I was using spironolactone and estradiol, but it’s diuretic effect was having a toll on me (e.g. tiredness, nausea) so I decided to switch to bicalutamide and estradiol (with dutasteride as a supporting role). I am using estradiol for some reasons: as growth stimulant (since oral minoxidil can lead to excessive body/facial hair growth, along with premature aging), since estradiol and bicalutamide have a synergetic effect, and so the androgen receptors are brewing less androgens.

Could you possibly upload images of your final results?

Itchy has self-inflicted hyperandrogenicity, unfortunately...

Could you explain more please?

He was using strong medications for his hair loss, then switched to dutasteride (significantly weaker) which lead to hyperandrogenicity. It’s seemingly a rare situation, which I sympathise with greatly...

You could stop the use of bicalutamide if you were using it with estradiol, since that will aid in lessening the amount of androgens which are brewing (since bicalutamide increases the amount). That’s why I don’t recommend bicalutamide unless you are actually going to stay on it permanently or going to use it with estradiol.

If bica is a guarantee to stop hair loss, why isnt it identified by the pharmaceutical (i probably spelled it wrong haha) industry(or doctors) as a hair loss treatment drug?

Doctors (specifically hair loss specialists) still believe DHT is the only hormone which causes hair loss, which is due to the assumption that men with 5ARD 'do not go bald' - although, I believe this is a myth. Furthermore, it's not recognised as a hair loss treatment due to it's significant rate of gynecomastia, along with estrogenic advances and feminisation.
