I just use a Dove for men thickening shampoo on the days I don't Nizoral. I leave it on for a minute or two then wash. When I'm using Nizoral I leave it on for 5 mins then rinse.

I don't use any conditioner and I shower twice a day.

I read you were using Belgravia centre high strength minoxidil? Are you still using that? Best to keep using what you were using

I just use the foam for quickness but I think solution is the better way but I don't have the time in mornings for it to dry and things.

Give the routine at least 6 months and then look back at the pictures and see what the improvement is like. Some people need wait a year before they improve, I was just lucky I guess it happened quickly for me (although I'm shedding constantly now).

Yes that's right for the last year I have been using Belgravia Centre's Minoxidil only, 5% and 12.5% / No finastride

But their prices are ridiculous.

So I stopped and visited a hair specialist that said the same as everyone on this forum, that you can order it online and it' s not that expensive. That's why for the last 3 weeks I changed my protocol - added in Finastride and using Kirkland Minoxidil solution twice a day

Yeah they overcharge a fair bit when you can get the same online for half the cost or less!

I used minoxidil (Rogain) for a few months years ago but didn't keep it up. I honestly think the combination of the minoxidil, Finasteride and Nizoral made all the difference when used together. There is something in diet too but I lead a pretty unhealthy lifestyle so I'm trying to change that now.

You still have hair in the temples so that's a huge bonus now your on finasteride. I hardly had anything there. It can regrow and come in thicker like it was before. It just takes patience and time

Thanks mate hope your right - I'm the opposite to you in terms of diet, I train 5x a week and eat very clean as it's part of my job - that's why the hair thing really upsets me as I'm constantly infront of the mirror

But your results and what your saying is moreless a similar type of thing to what I've started in the last 3 months - I'm 32

The only difference really is you using foam and me solution. I hope I can make a post like you soon :)

I've been thinking of adding Kirkland foam to my regime as well (starting with once a day). How do you apply it? After shampooing your hair? I want to apply it before I go to sleep.

Very impressive results Scottio, any sides or facial changes? How's your libido going? Is your drive and motivation the same? I have found that people who have a bit more side effects (even if mild) are often the best responders to the drug.

I think most people would take a reasonable compromise at let's say 20-30% less libido for 200% more hair :)

So I've been on finasteride and Minoxidil since January this year and this is the progress I have made so far.

Routine is 0.5mg generic finasteride daily, Kirkland Minoxidil foam twice a day and 3 times a week Nizoral shampoo.

Hey Scottio, I'm in UK too - I got inspired by you

I just finished my first month and this is what I look like - https://www.hairlosstalk.com/intera...le-area-trying-to-fix-it.110326/#post-1595650

Though I do feel worried and sad because it feels like it is thinning out the front of my hairline also and I love to wear my hair up but now I refuse to wear it up

No facial changes that I am aware of really. Only sides I've had is wattery seamen and some nipple itching which didn't last too long.

It's only a month so I wouldn't be worrying about it, I didn't notice any big changes till the 4 month mark. Just stick with it and see how you are doing at the 4-6 month mark

Holy sh*t. That's really good.

There was a guy in his mid thirties, who also got very impressive results as well (from Minoxidil alone, hard to believe). He was a Norwood 5.5, at least.

He didn't take Finasteride. Just imagine if HE DID. He already saw results on Minoxidil alone! Just goes to show,
you CAN make gains later in life.

I find it so hard to be motivated even if I know it's just 1 month on Finastride, I had a haircut yesterday and the front of my hairline has definetely gone back and...it's actually scary

Did anything like that happen to you?

I can see the front of my scalp which before it was just my temples effected :(

No but as you can see in my pictures my hairline was pretty much gone when I started treatment so I didn't notice it getting worse.

1 month is far too early to tell and aside from sides you really shouldn't start this if not going to give it at least 6 months to see innit improves anything.

That's true, thanks for the reply.

Just gets worrying to see it like that so obviously at first, someone else said it's a good thing at least it shows some reaction is taking place and hopefully new thicker ones will grow out from this area where I feel it's clearly thinning or shedding
