Its not that I don't believe in it, I just found what works for me. You can try Proxiphen from Dr Proctor. Its not cheap but it does work for alot of people who tried it. I use Proxiphen too as I was told I would be a poor responder to finasteride. Dr Proctor claims that Proxiphen is more effective than finasteride according to what he learned in his practice. I do use a keto shampoo and other hair loss shampoos. I use a kitchen sink approach to my situation. You just have to be open to try new things. Most people won't do that.
Yeah..I'm open to stuff, I just really don't want to systemically lower DHT (and I know this makes it much harder to keep hair). I also didn't have a great experience with minoxidil years ago when I tried it. Used it for 9 months on my hairline corners...shed very quickly and that hair just never grew back. :/

I just googled Proxiphen (I'd heard about it a long time ago on here). It seems there are two types..one with spironolactone and minoxidil and one with copper ions...are both types an option? I'm in the UK too so would have to get it here.

At the moment I just started (1 month in) doing dermarolling once per week and keto 2% shampoo three times a week. I was thinking of trying to see if i can get any results from and decide if it helped after 3 months, but i know thats not likely to be anywhere near enough on it's own :(

Proxiphen is the one I was referring to. Not Prox-N. I know people from the UK were able to get Proxiphen shipped to them. You need to call his office to find out or email him.

Noticing I am shedding much less now, but out of my daily shed i see 1-3 hairs that are very small like 2- 3 cm some thin too. I noticed this before starting finasteride too. Can this be a sign that it's telogen effluvium? Also.. during Telogen Effluvium does hair thats shed not grow out for a while? Like does the follicle just rest and not produce any fibers? I caught my hair in the wind yesterday it looks so bad, does my hair look like classic telogen effluvium in the pic? And what does the thick bulb mean?

Would lowering my daily intake of finasteride 1mg to let’s say 3x a week as opppsed to taking it 7x a week right now have any negative effects? I just want to lower risk of sides.

Possibly. Your androgen sensitivity may go a bit haywire if you were to ever plan on going back to 7x a week.

Everyone reacts differently

Just curious but why would it affect androgen sensitivity?

Sometimes, your body may produce more test converting to dht to compensate the supression of 5ar2 enzyme.

Its a rare thing so you may not experience this

Ok cutting back on daily finasteride intake. I was taking 1mg Ed, and now I will take it every other day. Do you think I should be ok with doing so, my hair loss seems to be very minor to begin with ?

Update on my hair. How are things looking? I feel like my hairline has been thinning more and receding.

You may have just another shed from changing your dosage. But your hairline doesn’t look different. And your whorl looks somewhat the same. But the lighting directly on it might exaggerate how large it is

Update on my other side where I think my hairloss is bad. How is it looking now that I’m approaching 3 months on finasteride? What Norwood?

Here’s some I took now. Been taking 1mg finasteride every other day instead of every day just recently. Any suggestions?
