In august I had thick hair with good density. I could tell because I at the time I got my new license and my hair looked solid. Fast forward to November and it thinned and lost density very rapidly. Here’s a pic of my hair back in august.

Kind of hard to replicate it. But here’s one of me just sitting. I didn’t even part my hair down the middle and it seems like I did. Just seems weird & my crown isn’t really thinning here’s a pic of top head and crown.

It's looks like a part. Totally normal.

Normal to see it part? I never part my hair. I can always see scalp now in certain lighting that exposes my central part.

It looks fine to me. Did you get back on finasteride? Did you even need finasteride?

Still haven’t gotten back on it. Gonna be a month on the first. Not sure if I needed it, will wait a bit longer to see how things progress. Here’s a wet hair pic, and how my bad side of my hairline is looking.

Wet hair clumps hair together so it's hard to judge. If the dermatologist said you had male pattern baldness then I guess it's a good idea to get on finasteride.

You stopped taking finasteride for a month. Why? I don't think you had gyno. Did you suffer reduced libido?

Derm said I had male pattern baldness back 7 years ago when I was 19 but it was actually Telogen Effluvium from drug induced accutane . Hair grew back within a few years. I stopped because libido felt a bit slashed, still was there just erection quality took a hit. My chest fat was accumulating, decreased significantly now that I’ve been off it. So not true gyno but fat distribution was giving me pseudo titties lol

So... it was a misdiagnosis. Maybe you should see the dermatologist to get another diagnosis? You may be using finasteride for nothing.

Yeah I’m gonna go back once my insurance clears. How does my hairline look here compared to back in december? First pic is today, second is December 2020.

Take another photos with your hand in the same exact spot as your photo back in December.

first pic is late December when I hopped on finasteride and second was today. Any difference? Circled birthmark for reference. Been off finasteride for about a month.

Based on the birthmark. It looks like improvement. You went from like nw1.25 to nw1. I'd still check with derm.

It’s so strange. I feel like my seb derm might have caused a Telogen Effluvium. I get these random tingling and stinging on scalp along hairline and back of head periodically but not frequently.
