How does oral min compare to liquid foam versions

I do have increased body hair, facial hair and nostril hairs since starting in 2005, however I don't know how much of that body and nostril hair is maybe age related (http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2013-05/fyi-why-do-old-people-get-so-hairy) instead. Minoxidil may contribute for sure...

How does oral min compare to liquid foam versions

The other option is to our it out on a plate, let the alcohol evaporate, the minoxidil crystallize and remove the remaining liquid propylene glycol. Then you can consume the very bitter tasting minoxidil crystals. I've consumed about 15 ml daily orally like this, which would work out to an...

    Minoxidil in pill form??

I know minoxidil comes with low pressure, but aren't the alleged POTENTIAL cardiac effects due to a study on dogs which also included the effect of theobromine in the same study? Dogs are not representative for humans, if you give a dog a lot of chocolate (containing theobromine) it will die, if...

    lointen

Just know that there are enough people that do have pretty bad side effects on swelling, heart rate, etc. for me to be concerned about what I'm doing.

    Drinking minoxidil solution

I take it orally after having the alcohol evaporated mostly. Cheaper than loniten, no prescription needed and lucky for me no sides. People will however declare me nuts for trying but I don't notice any swelling or anything, only a slightly increased heartbeat which is to be expected. A...

    lointen

Same thing here. Small hairs on cheeks, near the eyes and extremely long hairs on the eyebrows. Seriously slowed down hairloss but not complete. Stopping it for two weeks because of my gf fearing the negative side effects caused start of rapid and massive hairloss. Restarting it grew back what I...

    6 month update

Well, so far it got worse. One week after this thread I quit topical application of minoxidil and started taking it orally. Story here.

Propecia Users: How often do you get morning wood?

When I started using finasteride, I noticed they eventually stopped. So I halved my dose to every other day and now I tend to also usually wake up with one on the day I have to take finasteride and usually with none after the day I've taken finasteride. I can live with that. Btw, age 27.

    Can minoxidil make things worse?

My guess is if you're allergic to the propylene glycol it can make things worse. It sure got worse where I applied it and remained about stable where I didn't. I am experiencing hair growth when I consume minoxidil orally, unfortunately not yet on the top of my head, but I hope that will come or...

    minoxidil-body hair

Definitely, one of the side effects.

systemic absorption, how do I avoid it?

Well, they do advise you to stop in that case. As has been said already, has to be absorbed by the skin to be effective and the side affect is that it gets in the blood and carried throughout the body. So I'd say, proceed at own risk, if you don't have any problem with some weight gain, either...
