Question about skin and DHT blockers

I was thinking that if a DHT blocker such as spironolactone or RU is used would it mean that DHT levels in the body would rise due to the DHT not being able to bind to the receptor and having to go somewhere else. The reason I ask is I suffer from mild to moderate acne (mostly mild nowadays) and I fear...

RU stops working after 2-3 years

Well you would think if it was working for them then they would not have cared about the hassle. I suppose price may have been an issue for some but surely not all could have quit because of it.

RU stops working after 2-3 years

Quite a few people on another forum seem to think that RU loses its effectiveness after 2-3 years. I don't know if this is true but apparently many people used it in eary 2000 and almost everyone stopped after 3 years or less because it had stopped working. Is there any long term studies that...

    Question regrading RU

I'm trying to work out how much RU would cost per year. If I was to use 80mg a day then I think it would last around 4 months if I bought 10 grams. Can anyone confim that as I'm a bit uncertain about my calculations. If I am right then I didn't think it would be that expensive!

    Interesting results on topical spironolactone

Alot of people seem to think topical spironolactone is a very weak treatment for inhibiting DHT which seems odd to me from my personnel experience with it. I think my hair loss can be deemed aggressive as it started when I just turned 17 and I was losing roughly 170 hairs a day. When I started topical...

    Bad news for RU58841-Myristate users

Unfortunately you need to provide an EIN number which I believe certain businesses obtain from the IRS. I actually own a registered business but I live in the UK and over here I don't think EIN numbers are given.

    Bad news for RU58841-Myristate users

Some guy called hammer on another hair forum kept posting comments about R-axus saying they were scammers and untrustworthy and said he was alerting the authorities about them selling to the public so maybe thats why R-axus has stepped up in terms of buyers now needing full identification before...

    Bad news for RU58841-Myristate users

The R-A-X-U-S website where many were getting their supplies now has this message "Due to recent concerns over client credentials we now require your facilities EIN number prior to ordering. This must be included in the synthesis inquiry form" Shame as I was going to start using it next year...

    No rubbing?

Thanks for the imput beaner, it is frustrating knowing for the past 8 months I've probably been wasting 45 minutes a day AND reducing my results. Would still like to here more peoples views on this. Also can spironolactone in liquid form be applied the same way? Does anyone apply other topicals...

How have your results been Ben and do you use any other topicals and do you do the same?

    No rubbing?

I read recently that when applying minoxidil you don't have to rub it in as it absorbs on its own. I find this really hard to believe as wouldn't it just dry as a layer on top of the scalp. It would be really useful to me however as I currently spend over 1 hour a day applying topicals and most...

    Finasteride and shedding

It seems relatively normal and a good sign that the treatment is working when shedding occurs in the first few months of finasteride useage. If I've taken minoxidil and topical spironolactone for 8 months and experienced really good regrowth and roughly 75% reduction in hairloss then will I still go...
