Alot of people seem to think topical spironolactone is a very weak treatment for inhibiting DHT which seems odd to me from my personnel experience with it. I think my hair loss can be deemed aggressive as it started when I just turned 17 and I was losing roughly 170 hairs a day. When I started topical spironolactone cream from g-enhair I went from losing 170 hairs down to 35 hairs a day inside 2 weeks. So surely topical spironolactone does work well or am I just a very good responder? With what I would call aggressive hair loss I don't see how a supposedly weak inhibitor could reduce my hairloss by so much so quickly. I wasn't using any other products at the time, not even minoxidil. I also used topical finasteride for a while (this time alongside minoxidil) and again experienced no more than 40 hairs a day falling out. From what I've read most seem to think topical finasteride is too weak to do much but it helped with my hairloss alot. Does this mean my hairloss isn't aggressive as such weak inhibitors have such a big effect on the hair loss or is it a case that maybe topical spironolactone and topical finasteride are better than most assume?
