Thought I'd come back to post an update. 24 years old... first noticed temple loss beginning about 2 years ago. Have been hitting my head with the big 3 religiously for 1 year 6 months. The only skimping has been a once daily application of minoxidil instead of twice, since I don't want that crap...

I have been taking 1.25g of finasteride a day for over that year. In that time my temple loss has been dramatic. I seriously doubt the finasteride did anything at all for my temples.

I'm pretty sure tanning played a big part in deteriorating the condition of my skin. Of course, I'm sure some of it is natural aging. I don't think moisturizing does a whole lot for your skin, other than keeping it from getting dry and peely. I'm not well read on the subject though.

To throw in my support, minoxidil does the same thing to my hairline. It makes all these very promising hairs grow to about a cm, then they just fall out. It's god damn annoying and they've been growing that length and falling out for like 3 months now without any of them going terminal.

Temples are the hardest to regrow. Even the mighty minoxidil falters against my temples, which continue to recede.
