Just a quick update- the day after my last post, I finally looked at my crown and it was horrible. There was hardly any hair there and the hair on top looked much thinner as well. I immediately got back on Kirkland's foam Minoxidil.
Two weeks later- my hair looks better than it did 2 weeks ago...
You should check out my thread on my Minoxidil experience - basically Minoxidil ruined my hairs on top. Replaced my thick hairs with thin hairs that always shed. I was a user of Minoxidil since 2012, I have dropped Minoxidil almost a month now, I'm only on Propecia. I have not experienced any...
Thanks Masakage but honestly my hair was way better off before starting Minoxidil. As mentioned, my hair was dark and thick on top but I was trying to protect my hair from thinning and used the Minoxidil on my already thick hair, which is when it became thin.
I kept thinking it was the...
Minoxidil caused pretty bad irritation to my scalp. My scalp was constantly dry on both liquid and foam. The liquid gave me scalp psoriasis and the foam just did not work. No "thickening" was visible, only thinning. And the thinning always occurred ONLY at the sites where Minoxidil was applied...
I've been on Minoxidil since I was 22 - I'm 26 now. I've also been on and off Propecia/Finasteride but consistent on Propecia since June 2015. Before starting Minoxidil, I had thick hair on the top of my head, could not see through the scalp but I had some thinning in the crown. Long story...
Would be helpful if people indicated whether they used foam or liquid - I tend to see a lot of people complain about destroyed hairlines with use of minoxidil foam.
I really think I bought a batch of fake Rogaine on eBay. Just to give you some background info, previously I used Kirkland minoxidil from eBay which worked OK but irritated my skin a lot. I heard that Rogaine had a better vehicle and since I was starting Finasteride in December 2014, I figured...
Thanks everyone. I honestly blame Nizoral for some of my hairloss. My hair is so thin nowadays, it's very depressing. Nizoral really brought my hair to sh*t and even my scalp looks terrible. So much for being a $20 shampoo.
Am I the only one that experiences this? My hair could look decent and then I decide to use Nizoral one time and then it becomes super thin and then my scalp starts to peel. This happens every time, I don't know why I continue to give it another chance.
Same thing happened to me except I had really great results from generic finasteride until the manufacturers changed. After that my hair went to sh*t. I have now switched to Propecia and even though it's like 10x more expensive, it's worth it because I think I am finally seeing an improvement...
I would go with the 1% blue Nizoral but be cautious because it can do more damage than good. Nizoral always leaves my hair looking thinner and dry, I lost a lot of hair using Nizoral. I tried the 2% once and it burned my scalp.
