I added another thing to my regimen, inversion therapy lol. 10 mins daily, I hang upside down. Supposed to increase blood flow to the scalp. Maybe it will speed up the growth or some sh*t, I don't know.
Yeah I am using one of these, but honestly I don't know if it's that effective. More like a scratcher. Might have to buy a real massager.
Although, I wonder how PRP would work in conjunction with continued wounding. I know the docs that I know that use PRP legitimately, follow the PRP with activation by derminator.
Just used a 1.5 stamp on what is a newly buzzed (not shaved) head, and I gotta say, I definitely almost cried a little bit. My barber went ham on buzzing me this time, so now I can clearly see how diffused I am, whereas no one could tell one bit before the cut. She gave me a hug before I left. I didn't understand this until I saw the top of my head under direct light.
Its cool to see this dermarolling/stamping + minoxidil reborn. Just keep in mind regrowth takes time. One of the best responders I know (Prettyfly83) had to wait more than a year to see some results. But he kept regrowing his hair almost 3 years on it and was almost a NW5-6 when he started. There are some pics of him in this thread.
And remember, there is no economic gain for a pharma company or a hair transplant doctor. Thats why they will try to push for PRP or similar crap. What we are doing its still kind of underground, at least until Follica's release. Do not drop Avodart or Finasteride if you are using them, those will help to keep the new hair long term.
Looks like it was on Bald Truth: https://www.baldtruthtaIk.com/threads/13420-Dermarolling-Community-Trial/page9 His 2 month comparison pics:
And his 12 month results on this page are ridiculous!! Slick Bald to having a decent amount of hair! https://www.baldtruthtaIk.com/threads/13420-Dermarolling-Community-Trial/page221
Yeah, he is one of the best responders But this is no miracle or too good to be true kind of thing, you could find more stories like prettyfly or the reddit guy on different forums. Also, this stuff is scientifically backed by the indian study and others.
I'm no expert but surely there isn't any kind of "responders" for this? Isn't it just a biological mechanism that would be applicable across the board? There's no medication involved its just a process. I could be wrong , obviously. But skin wounding/healing is the same in everyone, no?
For this to be really effective you have to use Minoxidil too. And even without minoxidil, you would "respond" different to skin disruption modalities because wound healing is not the same for everyone, you could heal faster or slower and if you are already bald the skin will be less "prone" to grow cosmetically significant amounts of hair.
Also watch out for some of them 540 needle derma rollers, they seem to be filled with metal discs side by side which are covered in thin metal spikes rather than actual needles. I had used one in the past from ebay and it actually stuck in my scalp like a knife, it will shred your skin.
I can recall at least 10 good cases of derma + minoxidil. Another user from baldtruthtaIk called miuw was a good case too.
Think it will come down to Gene expression as well...still think its worth most trying it....if someone can go from NW5 to a NW2 in a year, I cant think of anything that does that that we have today, bar a ridiculously expensive hair transplant.
The greek´s case was one of the best besides Somebody´s case. The huge difference was dermapen instead of dermaroller and that he didnt use minoxidil nor finasteride.
