Finasteride does indeed increase test but by blocking dht, that is the key androgen when it comes to libido etc so even if test goes higher on finasteride it will not offset the loss of libido and sexual enjoyment.

With that said, the cabaser will I think do the job - I would personally start by taking 0.5mg twice a week (1/4 tab for you) then adjust frequency and/or dose from there after a week or two.

Keep me posted, hope it goes well. Only other thing I would say is that when taking cabaser you might notice a drop in blood sugar so I would suggest taking it with carbohydrates. (after 2-3 weeks you might notice your body composition improving as it leans you out).

The Cabaser arrived a few days back, a little reluctant to take it but my first dose is tonight, no excuses. Anything else you could advise apart from increasing my carbohydrates?....at least I now have an excuse to eat copious amounts of bread!

No, not really. Cabaser is tasteless pretty much and it has a longish half life but you might get a positive effect very quickly all the same. Here is some more info to whet your appetite.

http://www.tharc.com/articles/Cabergoline.php.html

"One fascinating trial on 60 healthy males, between the ages of 22 and 31 discovered that they needed a break of 19 minutes between love making. However, after taking cabergoline, they were able to have several orgasms within a few minutes!

Dr. Schedlowski went on to say; "We interviewed the subjects and found they were able to have multiple orgasms in very rapid succession. This is sitting very nicely with our hypothesis that orgasms and sexual drive are steered by prolactin and dopamine in the brain."

Some user feedback here:

http://www.bluelight.org/vb/threads/797311-Cabergoline-and-Sex-drive
https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/anabolic-steroids-peds/cabergoline-sex-drive-woo!-45020.html
https://muscleinsider.com/content/dostinex-and-sex-drive

It is funny, I was watching an epidose of Black Mirror last night where a guy could enjoy female and male orgasms at the same time through a device he had. As you can see, Cabaser is pretty much doing that already though!

One thing to be aware of - some people say they have tried it and not gotten sexual benefits (search around on bodybuilding forums) but this is because the vast majority of people who buy it on those kind of sites buy shitty research chemicals supposedly containing cabergoline. I always stick with Pfizer brand Cabaser, with that, the sexual results are a guarantee!

Gotta be honest though, while cabergoline does massively increase the orgasmic experience I can’t say I ever had multiple orgasms (by which I am assuming it refers to you cumming, staying hard and somehow pumping another load out within the next 60 secs over and over).

Would be cool to know what they defined a multiple orgasm to be in that second study.

So I've been on Cabaser 3 days now, had 2 doses, and much to my surprise I'm already having a positive response. My libido and sex drive has increased significantly and I actually feel like I have more energy in general... remarkable considering I am a lazy slob. I'm open to the idea that this could be a placebo but I'm actually feeling pretty good with myself atm and I'm getting my moneys worth :D

Apart from the increased libido when it comes to sex I feel like my erections are also harder (in the two times I have had sex since and the fifty wanks I've had), orgasm wise...yeah they feel slightly stronger but I'm thinking that will increase the longer I'm on it. The only major concern I have is that I don't last that long in the bedroom and I'm still getting the same problem. Without going into detail it's usually often over before it's started.

Athlete - I came across this product on Evo's site and I wondered if you knew it worked?..and also if it's worth me/safe taking with cabergoline?

https://www.evopharmacy.com/pd-premature-ejaculation-priligy-dapoxetine.cfm

Don't want to be a complete pill head so your input would be great. I'll keep everyone posted with how I get on with cabergoline.

Anyone else on here tried it yet?

Thank you Tiger... I had ordered Cabaser but used a debit card, reordered using my credit card..hoping it comes this week.. I went a bit overboard, I ordered 2 X the 20 x 2mg Tablets(USD 30) .. probably should have gone with 10.. perhaps 1/4 a pill every two weeks you think? I'm so mad at myself for blithely taking the medication without researching. And I was wrong, my T-levels have been low for 4 years.. sigh..now they're fine.. I get my latest results towards the end of the month. It is absolutely not cheap but if it restores/enhances my libido (plus the other benefits you mentioned), then I guess its worth me getting a second job :) thought at least for 1/4 a pill a week its cheaper than others I've used (something called Capatrex originally...)

Thank you thank you thank you!

Any thoughts on a Cabaser dose if I were to start with .5 Finasteride EOD?

What the best way to get your doctor to prescribe the Cabaser?

You are giving me hope!!! I want wood that will knock a tree down!! ;) .. Silly as it sounds, but as I got older, it took longer and longer to come even before the Finasteride, coming prematurely is oh god, being like a teen again for me!!

I was wondering though Tiger, given that its supposed to be for Parkinsons, are there any major side effects? I noted the side effects from a google search but I didn't see anything here I couldn't handle with the potential exception of blood in urine, chest pain, breathing challenges, ..
For others, let me know what your particular side effects were, if any.

Oddly enough I'll be in the UK this week.. can I pick up a bottle without a prescription if I'm local there?

Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

Blood in your urine, lower back pain, side pain, or sharp back pain just below the ribs

Change in how much or how often you urinate

Chest pain or tightness

Cough, shortness of breath, or trouble breathing

Fast, slow, pounding, or uneven heartbeat

Lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting

Numbness, tingling, or burning pain in your hands, arms, legs, or feet

Severe stomach pain or tenderness

Swelling in your face, hands, ankles, lower legs, or feet

Unusual sleepiness, drowsiness, or weakness

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
Headache

Nausea, vomiting, constipation, mild stomach pain, or upset stomach

If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this medicine, tell your doctor.

Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.

I can't thank you enough Athlete.. I was sooo depressed over this situation over the holidays..am looking forward to my first bottle of cabaser. Was wondering, unless I missed it (brain fog? ;)), I know cabaser enhances the libido. But sounds like alchemy is still needed to address estrogen and to reduce prolactin levels? Is there anything to increase DHT? I found some supplement which has Sorghum, will that help? I'm thinking once the Testerone to DHT conversion mechanism is damaged, I might night ever get my DHT levels going again.

Now again, in my case I stopped taking finasteride.. so hoping I won't get an increase in estrogen?

This is a recurring issue I’ve noticed so thought some people might benefit from this post.

Sex Drive - For me the biggest downside of a hairloss prevention regime is the negative effects on both libido and sexual performance.

This is likely related to two aspects, the reduction in DHT levels, a potent male androgen which plays a crucial role in libido as well as other masculine traits.

Strength/Body Composition - While not too useful for anabolism compared to other androgens, DHT also helps strength and by reducing it with finasteride or dutasteride you’re going to be putting yourself at a disadvantage when it comes to improving body composition and strength (dht is also great for cutting you up).

The second aspect linked to sex drive decline is a possible negative effect on dopamine levels. I’m not sure on how finasteride effects this but IME dopamine is more crucial than testosterone levels and DHT levels in the maintenance of a high libido.

Gyno/Estrogen Increases - Using finasteride increases estrogen. While positive for skin tone and texture this is bad on multiple levels leading users to become more likely to get fat and, worse, be prone to man boobs.

Focus/CNS Efficiency - A common complaint is users feel less focused and some will get brain fog on finasteride. This is likely due to lower levels of DHT.

Options to fix issues caused by Finasteride

Now I come to some solutions that you may consider.

ED Drugs - v****, Cialis etc will help with improving sexual performance but they are very much mechanical drugs, they won’t do anything to improve libido or address other aspects of finasteride mediated dysfunction.

Libido Enhancers - While it might be nice to use something like testosterone, this is obviously contraindicated if you are tackling hair loss. Unfortunately any steroid which increases libido is likely to have a harsh effect on hairlines so we need a different solution.

The Natural Option for Libido - Use an AI based around suppressing estrogen, I like this product a lot:

https://www.predatornutrition.com/estrogen-blockers/hydrapharm/alchemy.html

The key ingredient here is a highly potent flavan which suppresses estrogen and produces a rise in testosterone. I was sceptical but this works well and user feedback seems to back this up as a consistent effect. There is also a product called Virtus with the same ingredient but it’s a liquid product so not ideal IMO.

I wouldn’t bother with traditional testosterone boosters like Maca, longjack etc as they aren’t as potent and also wont help suppress estrogen which we want when using finasteride.

To recap: Alchemy or similar can lower estrogen, increase testosterone and help lower risk of gyno. The above should have a positive effect on libido as well.

The Stronger Options for Libido - I’ve not discussed dopamine yet and unfortunately no AI or test booster will help here.

What I’ve found works, and can not only restore libido but increase it higher than ever is the use of a dopaminergic such as Cabaser or Parlodel. I’d favour the former as the latter can cause some unwanted transient nausea likely linked to lowering blood glucose.

These two drugs came to my attention when I was looking to cut up for a football season and get to sub-6% bf (played rush linebacker spot in college).

When you diet your body fights you every step of the way by increasing cortisol, lowering test levels, GH levels etc and the way these drugs work is they effectively act as a leptin mimetic and trick your body into keeping hormones at an optimised level (IOW, fools your body into thinking you’re not as lean as you are and so doesn’t cause hormones to crash when dieting).

For our purposes though, where these drugs really shine is their ability to massively increase libido, and reduce refraction rate AND enhance sexual enjoyment hugely. IOW, you’ll want more sex more often, will be able to c*m more than once and enjoy it more all at the same time.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/1949087.stm

As a bonus, both of these drugs can also help combat gyno caused by prolactin.

https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=825325

From my experience using these, I had some gyno at the time and it definitely helped reduce it while also having the other benefits I’ve described.

Even more estrogen control - If you’re not taking a natural AI like alchemy then you could consider a drug like aromasin which i think is superior to other drug AI’s with less side effects.

Combating Mental Fog - This is the last major side effect to deal with. There are a ton of options with stimulants but personally I’d avoid these and instead elect to use a nootropic.

From experimenting with different ones i think the best options are a drug called selegiline or a supplement called 9-MBC. Both of these will elevate dopamine which means as well as improving focus you will also see a rise in dopamine levels. Here is an example of some feedback on the latter:

http://www.longecity.org/forum/topic/98742-libido-too-high-on-9-mbc/#entry836716

So, there you have it. This is how I think the side effects of finasteride can be dealt with and this is something I’d suggest anyone worried about finasteride consider rather than ditching the finasteride entirely.

I know cabaser enhances the libido. But sounds like alchemy is still needed to address estrogen and to reduce prolactin levels? Is there anything to increase DHT? I found some supplement which has Sorghum, will that help?

Study about cabaser

"In addition, a significant increase of serum testosterone (from 3.7 +/- 0.3 to 5.3 +/- 0.2 microg/l) and dihydrotestosterone (from 0.4 +/- 0.1 to 1.1 +/- 0.1 nmol/l) was recorded"

Thats an increase of dht of 275%

For comparison: 1mg finasteride lowers dht by 70%

For estrogen:

I thought you might have already had some in by now. Hopefully the credit card order goes through at evopharmacy for you!

Prolactin - Cabaser will absolutely do this. It is what it is designed for in fact so Alchemy is not needed in this case.

Estrogen - If you are on cabaser then you will benefit from some increase in testosterone and that can potentially convert in some small measure to estrogen. If you are also using finasteride it absolutely will increase estrogen.

As such, Alchemy will help via its actions as an aromatase inhibitor so that you should end up with low estrogen once more.

Fwiw, if nothing else, I hope that anyone who uses finasteride uses an AI like Alchemy or pharma equivalent as estrogen related sides are common to finasteride users (lower libido, loss of body hair, man boobs etc).

DHT - If you increase test via cabaser or Alchemy then this will have a corresponding effect on increasing DHT. End result = better libido, focus, less fat and dense, harder physique.

There are no specific DHT boosting supplements although there are prohormones that will convert in some small measure to DHT (however you don’t want to use those of course).

Btw I saw your other post concerned about side effects etc. I’d encourage you to read user reviews on this as I’ve never seen anyone report sides like those.

That’s great news that it’s kicked in already for you. It will build up over time and you may even be able to dose less frequently once you get to the libido level you want.

I hear you on coming too soon and taking a libido enhancing drug is probably not gonna help (although I can’t think it impacted me negatively and even read online cabaser helps extend sex duration for some).

As for Priligy, no idea on those questions but I see it’s only used ad hoc so don’t see any issues unless cabaser is making you want to have sex every day in which case you don’t wanna use priligy daily cos it’s an anti depressant.

What’s a normal dose? Sides don’t seem terrible compared to the nightmare potential of finasteride... is it just cost/availability prohibitive?

I’d suggest 0.5mg twice a week. Never noticed sides at that dose unless higher libido and being leaner is a side effect.

Not cheap but for me that lasts 20 weeks so about $10 a week. I’ll spend that at Starbucks in one visit.

Thanks for this thread Athlete. I started oral finasteride about 9 months ago and got hit with the classic sides of weaker erections and lower libido. finasteride was having a positive effect on my hair and I was still able to perform so I cut the dosage in half and continued to take it. My sides never went away and still continue to this day. Up to this point, I thought that was the only side I was suffering from. However, after reading this post, I believe I have other sides that I didn't realize. I began lifting at the end of 2016. From August 2016-April 2017 I gained about 10 lbs and my lifts all went significantly up. I kept my body fat low and put on a decent amount of muscle. April 2017 is when I began finasteride. From April to mid September I gained another 10 lbs. This was much faster than previously. Not only that but my lifts barely increased at all. In fact some of them like my bench actually decreased. Since then I've been hovering around the same weight +- 1-2 lbs. Looking at pictures from April compared to now, I look the same muscle wise. The only thing thats changed is that I've gained fat around my abdomen, hips, and chest. I'm keen to attribute this to my estrogen levels being thrown out of whack as my diet didn't really change significantly so putting on that much weight that quickly makes no sense. And even if I did put on weight, I should've at least put on some muscle and seen increases in my lifts but that didn't happen either.

Anyways I ordered alchemy and am waiting for it in the mail. I think I'll hold off on the Cabaser for now since its a prescription drug and don't really want to use it atm. I'm just worried about the long term effects that alchemy will have. Will I be seeing issues blocking that test conversion to estrogen? Also, on the website, it says to cycle alchemy by taking it 2 months on 1 month off. Do you follow this regimen as well? And finally how long did it take for you to notice the effects on your body in terms of higher libido and shedding of the fat?

I had really bad mental (anxiety, panic attacks, depression and brain fog)and physical sides( pelvic floor spasms, groin and joint pain and pretty bad prostate pain) from taking dutasteride and finasteride.
For the mental sides and muscle spasms what worked:
Gabapentin
Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium Klonopin)
Kava
Valerian root
For the physical sides:
Kratom
Gabapentin
Benzodiazepines
You should note that all that has been listed can be very ADDICTIVE and DANGEROUS dont mix BENZODIAZEPINES with other DEPRESSANTS!

For body composition purposes I think you should see results from Alchemy within a week and as for side effects i can’t see that at all. I think the first thing you’ll see is a tightening of the physique and strength gains. Libido for me took a bit longer, say two weeks.

You would normally cycle it if you are natural but if you’re using finasteride then there’s an argument you don’t ever come off. Either way i can’t see side effects, certainly not when compared to the sides of finasteride.

Still waiting for my alchemy in the mail. Should be coming in sometime next week. One other question about alchemy. I know it will improve libido, but will it also improve erection strength? Thats one of the major problems I've had with finasteride is that the strength of my erections has weakened and its become harder to maintain an erection.
