I guess. What in your opinion is our biggest hope (i.e Replicel, Follica, RIKEN)..
Well if you are just starting to lose your hair then stem cell injection type therapies sound like a pretty good option for halting that although that new thread on hairclone is interesting since it's been claimed this type of therapy will halt hair loss but they say more injections will be required as the hairloss progresses. "This process would be Repeated every 2-5 years as the balding process continues". Does this mean the effects of the injected cells wear off or does it not completely halt the hair loss just slows it down? I guess we'll find out.

Follica in my own opinion will be great if Minoxodil and dermarolling already work for you and if they do I would just use them right now and not have to wait at all. I personally dont believe Follica making a super slick looking scalp tenderizer is going to make all the difference vs a dermaroller and I dont think their new ointments or formulas are going to be game changer although I do hope they are. You could say well Follica is owned by a big company (Puretech isnt huge but anyway) they arent going to pour thousands of dollars into sh*t product but its definately been done before somebody had to commercialize laser caps. You could also say well Follica wont do something like that but I also cant personally judge the integrity of any of Puretechs products since I'm pretty sure there are none yet.

So far Organ Tech and Tsuj has stated their obstacles precisely and announced that they have been eliminating them one by one hopefully this trend continues.

I think the what should be more concerning especially with hair cloning methods (real ones not just proliferating cells for injection) is not if biotechnology will advance to a point where we can fix this but will your wallet advance to meet the price when it does come out I mean what if it comes out tomorrow and you cant afford it? I wouldnt skip out on budgeting and doing whatever you can to put yourself in a better financial position in the hopes that "well the prices will go down with time". How much? How much have hair transplants gone down? What about other cosmetic surgeries? What about actually getting to the place for the therapy? There will probably need to be more than one trip you'll need accommodations overseas flight etc.

Most decent transplants are already out of financial reach for most, and some think that they'll be easily able to afford a stem cell one lol.

"But they're not that pricey if you go to some shithole like Turkey!" Yeah, no thanks.

Keep that piggy bank full, boys.

Everything is still aleatory, we don't know where prices are heading. Demand for surgery is definitely on the rise. On one hand that means that more surgeons will be able to practice ans ascend to semi-deity status of reputable surgeon. At that point, though, it is not clear whether prices will go down because demand will have risen to the same, or higher pace as the offer. In the meanwhile, new game changing drugs may or may not appear.

The only certain thing is that a huge cultural change is underway - hair surgery is no longer something people will be ashamed of, or judge harshly.

Ideally, hairpieces will follow suit - I wouldn't mind wearing one, provided it could be worn as a hat - comfortable, easy to take on and off, affordable and, notably, with no pretence of looking exactly like real hair. Fake hands and eye bulbs have existed for centuries

If I wasn't already busy with other projects I would consider making a start up to produce and commercialise suvh hair systems. I'm sure there is a way to implant the scalp with something like velcro strips or something that performs the same function. Then one could simply strap it to one's head. And if it comes off then so be it, one could just nonchalantly put it back on.
Fear of being ridiculed? Up to you to overcome it or be slave of it. Ridicule is social, and as such it's not fixed. It can, and will change. If enough men would use this system, people would just get used to it sooner or later.
What people consider pathetic is probably the effort to hide the fact it's fake hair. If we started to wear realistic, but confidently fake wigs with real nonchalance and honesty, they might even one day become fashionable

Yeah I mean I'm not poor by any means but theres definately a cap to what regular people like me can reasonably spend and hope to continue some type of life afterwords.

That may be going a tad too far.

Hehe I am a positive guy, but year after year I look at this website and any hope I have feels like it is getting further away.

I hope Tsuji succeeds. If he fails, it is endgame for me. I will keep using finasteride until I am 60 and I will also do a hair transplant meanwhile.

It's truly over and all the false hope/cope in this thread is depressing and sad. It's sad to see people clinging to some false hope that is probably never going to come true (like "tsuji trial" that no one knows anything about it and no one will).

We've already lost at life and there's no saving us.
