Nope.
The most this treatment can do is restoration (from thinning to terminal) of miniaturized hair follicles and the results in this non-efficacy-evaluation trial weren't that impressive.

But in all seriousness, I understand your concern that it might be out of reach, but from a business perspective this doesn't make sense. Think about it, how many people experience baldness? Like 1/2 males, some proportion of females. Now, that's a lot of people. You want to be careful not to shrink your own market by setting the price too high, you see? You want the price as high as possible in order to make the best profit, but you also need to realize that taking a little money from a LOT of people will make you extremely wealthy as well. In fact, the latter is the leading strategy for a billion dollar company. It is much easier to take a reasonable amount of money from hundreds of millions than try to take a 100g from a few million :^)
Also from the video, "We have a tattoo mark, to make sure we go back to the same region for monitoring and taking photos." Mfw I came. I'm pretty excited for the pictures to be honest. Tired of this shitty lighting, angle, and hair grown out bullshit.

If I were a middle aged, already married, have-been-balding-for-over-a-decade fat manager in a large company...I'm not sure I'd be dying to play the guinea pig when safety and efficacy trials are ongoing on an experimental procedure. Priorities and cost-benefit analysis wise that doesn't make sense. Does that look like a man who has ever touched the big 3? Besides, they aren't claiming regrowth on slick areas to begin with, and the dude is obviously slick up top. Lol. But that's just my take.

If they are going to charge 10 grand for maybe ~the results they have released and someone comes out with a full blown regrowth cure it would be for multimillionairs only who probably don't even give a sh*t about hair loss.. bad market strategy. If follica would do half of what people have been saying it will do itd be 150g relative to what you've proposed there's no way.

They'd probably make more money at $1k+.
Using small single digit and triple digit numbers to keep it simple...
If the procedure costs $10k and 5 people get it = $50k.
If the procedure costs $1.5k and 100 people get it = $150k.
Why am I using a number of customers for the $1.5k that is 20x more than the $10k group? Well I think it's realistic to get that many more customers, but I am just throwing numbers around here.
$10k isn't a doable number for just anyone. $1.5k is doable for most people who are above poverty level. Now imagine the same customers who paid $1.5k, coming back for more because they liked the results and want more results, BUT the people who paid $10k for their results (also good results) would be more reluctant to pay $10k again so quickly. Because how many spare $10k's do people have (+ trip to Japan, hotel, food, transportation)?
At a more affordable price you would have more customers and more returning customers faster. At the price of a good used car of $10k, you'll have less customers and less returning customers.
In the $1.5k group you are looking at all kinds of age groups being targeted. In $10k group you are looking at people with established salaries with a spare $10k, possibly older people with more advanced hair loss. You price it right, you have younger people getting the treatment, with NW3, NW2's turning back to NW1-0 (possibly?) your product looks better. What if at $10k you get NW7's and NW6's with money going over there and the results are not favorable? Your product looks mediocre and suffers through word of mouth in forums and blogs and youtube video reviews.

By the way guys, if this treatment is legit, wouldn't it be a cure for nw2-3, get this treatment and a transplant to get back to nw1, this is a functional cure no? And is there any chance for shiseido to release it in 2018?

If it halts native loss in it's tracks by immunizing follicles then it is a preventative cure. Guys with a family history of hair loss will be lining up around the block to get these injections before the male pattern baldness demon hits them.
Guys with a thinning crown/midscalp/receding hairline will get it to halt the loss (and get that unspecified % of thickening) then they are free to load up on new hair via hair transplant risk free. It'll still be an illusion obviously, but the top hair transplant docs will have business lined up forever, all of a sudden you don't have to plan long term and worry about native hair falling out behind/around the hair transplant.
Of course this all rides on currently unknown results. We have to see a lot more data and really, observe results over the course of years once it hits the market and guys are getting it done. Hence why I still think it'll be 10-15 years before a mainstream easily accessible replacement for finasteride even if this stuff gets released in Japan next year.

From my understanding, these 2 guys DID NOT RESPOND because of the delivery delay. And so, they were NOT included in the study results (as they did not fulfill the study's protocol).
So, no, they did not solve the question on the differences observed in the trial.

It will be great, if any of the treatments in the pipeline comes out in the near future.
But we should not rest on hope and wishful thinking.

Just mantaining? Didn't the Replicel CEO just stated that this is also regrowing new hair? Everybody goes crazy about something that ain't even available. The only important thing is what Shiseido will promise and deliver and not what Replicel says.
