@Swoop is your experiment behind that "S5 cream with alfatradiol & tempol" thing which just popped up on the site?

Hope he doesn't mind me answering for him. I think one of his posts was probably the inspiration for it, as they told me it came from forum discussions, but its being manufactured by an actual company overseas that creates cosmetic and other types of topical treatments. So yeah Swoop probably deserves the "cred" !

Well somewhat partly I guess lol. Although mine would consist of some extra ingredients. Nonetheless I'm still very curious to the feedback of that cream with a combination of spironolactone, alfatradiol and tempol.

Answers:

@inmyhead - overseas the other direction unfortunately. But that just means longer shipping time in this case. You can still get it in the EU - just order online: https://www.hairlosstalk.com/shop/s5-plus-cream-alfatradiol-tempol.html

@Beowulf - Its available now (above link), but wont be shipping for another week or so. They're just getting started.

Yeah - to clarify - Swoops topical formula mentioned in this thread has more ingredients. But the first post in this thread may have been the inspiration behind adding just two extra ingredients (Alfatratiol and Tempol) to the standard S5 Cream product.

I'll like to hear experiences from people that used this cream and see some pictures/studies if its possible before I jump on it. Maybe we can create a new thread because many people don't know this discussion is taking place here. Thanks admin you are doing a great job. Cheers

No i am not..Dr said its just hard for some people to absorb iron. I have to take 4 iron pills a day with vitamin C on empty stomach. I got it up to 60 so far--the goal is over 70.

@Swoop

is there a reason that spironolactone is often in a cream as opposed to liquid?

Speaking of spironolactone, is anyone hopeful for this "S5 plus" cream which includes alfatradiol and tempol. I like the sound of it because alfatradiol SHOULD act like a topical finasteride. If I continue getting sides on oral finasteride, I want to scale it down to a minuscule .05mg or so ED and then combine with a topical.

Sorry this is off-topic, but I wanted to sort of second @MorningNorwood's question: Is this S5 creme supposed to be at all efficacious for androgenic alopecia? I tried to find some results regarding the use of spironolactone and hair loss, but could only find results regarding females.

Alfradatiol would more liekly act as estrogen agonist and mild dht blocker. However, 0.05% seems quite less amount of alfradatiol to have a big impact. There are already lotions out with 0,025% alfradatiol and the inhibitory effects are really small

I have no clue tbh hairblues.

Well some people liked the normal S5 version with spironolactone but for many it wasn't strong enough I guess. If you add alfatradiol and tempol however you work from more angles and it's logical that it should be more effective. Alfatradiol has several studies backing up the effectiveness in men and women like these;

Hey Swoop, would you recommend using this cream if you aren't taking finn/dutasteride? I think the topical cream you were making looked to be quite stronger - would love to get my hands on some of that :)
