My Dad is a Norwood 7, but had a fullish looking head of hair (he had a thin hair type though) until he was about 37 or so.

    Retin-A without minoxidil?

Hi Folks, I was just curious if Retin-A can work as a growth stimulator alone? I know people mention its effectiveness in conjunction WITH minoxidil...but I want to hold off on minoxidil for now. Will the Retin-A work as at least a moderate growth stimulator? I want to add another growth stimulator to...

    minoxidil/Shedding/Regrowth Questions

I want to get on some type of a growth stimulator and I know minoxidil is the surest thing but I don't want to jump on it right now. I want to save minoxidil for maybe a year or 2 down the line. Truthfully, the thought of the sheds you guys talk about scares the hell out of me. I can't imagine how my...

How much of it is mental?

When it comes to hair loss does our mind play tricks on us too? Sorry this is kinda long but I wanted to write this all out to make myself feel better. Here's my story from this week: So anyways, I've been feeling good about my hair. I actually received 3-4 compliments about my hair in the...

    Ugh... Sebum!

I had a sebum buildup (95% sure it was sebum) a couple months back. Jojoba Oil helped a lot.

    Prothik...WOW!

I wanted to spread it around because the stuff is so strong, spraying too much along my hairline might be too much.

    Prothik...WOW!

Ahh, that makes sense Todd. I was using the Prothik first, then my product and then finishing it off with a hair spray to add shine and hold it together. It makes sense to use your hair product first. Doing it in reverse probably causes the Prothik to get all over my scalp because I massage...

    Prothik...WOW!

I tried Prothik for the first time this morning and all I can say is Wow. After just a couple sprays I had a hard time running my comb through my hair because of the increased thickness. Questions for Prothik users: Can I spread it around with my fingers? Do you guys use Prothik first and...

Is it strange to lose hair here??

I think I can say the same NAT. I have male pattern baldness as well...but yes I can pull hairs from above my sideburn area plus bottom back of head easier than anywhere else on head.
