I want to say that the length of your hair is masking the real progress but I have similar diffuse hairloss and I have buzzed my hair multiple times and I can tell you with certainty that if you buzz your hair now it will look much better than the before pics. I believe you have made some really...
Shedding is not the worst thing in the world. It could mean you are actually responding to it. All you can do is take a risk and ride it out, or drop it if you do not like what's happening.
The Chinese reported 80% of these patients showed greater than 50% improvement for those who used minoxidil right after needling every two weeks. If you can tolerate minoxidil then go with needling and minoxidil.
Just a little update - My temples are responding to microneedling and applying minoxidil immediately after and the growth has been pretty f*****g crazy if I'm being honest. Of course, as I said, I won't be able to apply minoxidil for the next 12-13 days because of possible interactions with...
Did they grow longer and thicker or did they shed first?
Mine were regrowing longer and longer sporadically but I never stuck to it long enough to know for sure that it was real terminal regrowth. Mind you terminal hair regrowth can be thin hair WITH PIGMENTATION growing longer and longer...
Go to once a week and apply minoxidil right after needling once every two weeks. The Chinese study had more powerful results than the Indian study and using minoxidil right after may be another factor to consider.
Vascular endothelial growth factor appears to be a major mediator of HF growth and cycling providing direct evidence that the improved follicle revascularization promotes hair growth.[35]
Vascularization and release of growth factors are proven concepts now but Fibrosis is still not proven...
We don't know for sure. Fibrosis theory is not proven yet.
What is well known is that there is less vascularity on bald/balding areas compared to areas with hair.
Lmao! Yeah the first time I did it I went overboard, because I was desperate. I did it everyday and for too long. I'm more patient now.
I'm using a dermapen, so it extends and retracts. Like a stamp, probably only 15 needles on the stamp.
Oh my bad I misread that, it's 2mm! Which is more...
I asked that question here but didn't get any answer on that. I have diffuse hairloss and long hair but no one answered. I'm thinking I'm gonna try 2.5 in the future in the hairy areas to so what it feels like but I'll only do so after 2 weeks of rest, just as a trial. If it's tolerated then I'm...

It looks like I will be only needling for the next two weeks because I'm on some medication that may react with hair loss medication.
Always hate setbacks but 14 says won't make a big difference. I will needle every week till the end of January and then switch to the Chinese Study protocol.
