No sides at 0.06mg/ml (2ml per day) so far. Itch is reduced but I can't conclude about efficiency as it's too early

Btg, gettin_back, zenhead,
Could you provide an update of your treatments?
using ZT and liposomal finasteride right now. Seems decent for maintenance so far, slight hairline thickening. No crown results yet. I’m NW2.5 / 3 diffuse at 24.

No sides at 0.2mg , not sure about results yet i am at 4 months , i get some small hair which shed but i am not sure if it is growth or miniaturization . But i ll probably switch to liposomal because i get alot of itch with using alcohol daily as vehicle

Hi i'm on minoxidil since 2 months. I have a tablet of propecia ready to use but haven't start yet, do you think it's better to start directly with topical or oral finasteride ?

Nearly ni sides with 2.5% liposome finasteride from parati for 8 months. No visible effect either imo.

Couldnt stand the 1mg tablet btw.

No maintence either? Do you apply after you wash your hair so there’s no sebum / debris preventing the gel from getting into the scalp skin? Just recently started doing this myself

I think it does go in my scalp, concetration is so high. I contacted the farma company and said I put it on in the evening rub it in the skin and leave it on over nighr, I sleep on my back so no prob.

They told me thats fine. Maintenance could be possible yes. I think is use it like 6/7 days a week.

I've used the Finasteride Liposomal 1,5% (from Parati) for about 4 to 5 months. Quit 2 months ago after my hairline only got progressively worse even when combined with oral finasteride 1,25 mg.

Started with 2,5%, quit oral finasteride 1,25 mg 3 weeks before to make sure my DHT levels were sort of normal. I got massive sides, on the 2,5% formula much worse than I ever had on oral. After 2 weeks I dropped to 1,5% and had barely any sides.

From that point on I combined the topical with oral finasteride 1,25 mg. Had the same mildish sides I've always had on oral. Reason I combined them was that the oral alone was not saving my hairline over the years. So I figured using both together would surely have the best results. After I started with the topical my hairline started to get progressively worse. In about 4 months I lost a quarter to a half an inch on my hairline (not exaggerating in the slightest).

This is my personal experience, maybe someone else will have better luck. But the fact that the topical made my hairloss worse even while I was on oral at the same time makes me very skeptical.

I have seen posts here and on reddit that also showed skepticism towards the liposomal formula. It seems that almost everybody on the internet who used 2,5% got massive sides. The official 'study' done may as well have had positive results because these people wouldn't have sides from finasteride to begin with and their serum DHT was lowered enough to stop their hairloss.

This also does not bode well for the Italian lotion, since it intends to do something similar. Lowering DHT with S-eqol and combining it with liposomes to prevent it from affecting serum levels.

I promised I'd give an update, so here it is.

This photo was taken 2 months after beginning topical finasteride, and around 2.5 months after my previous photo, note that my hair is buzzed slightly shorter in the recent one.

I've already outlined my regime in the previous post, so I won't bother repeating that here.

So far I've suffered zero side effects and have practically zero shedding. I'll leave it up to you to decide wheather or not there is any improvement.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. 20181201_013832.jpg

I should have mentioned I was using Morr f 10, which contains 10% minoxidil. However I just finished that bottle and am now using dualgen plus from minoxidilmax. Dualgen is almost too strong with 15% minoxidil, so I apply around 0.6ml Dualgen and 0.6ml kirkland minoxidil.

Just got a prescription made up for my Liposomal Finasteride (@2.5%) +Minoxodil (@5%). My compounding chemist says he can get this made up for me at a specialist pharmacy in Sydney as he thinks I might have some trouble getting the solution through international customs due to Finasterides drug class in Australia.

What do you think, @ZenHead? Take a risk and get Parati to make it up, or get it made by an Aussie?

@aldog, if I may give my opinion based on experience. To compound this stuff to pharmaceutical quality takes specialized equipment such as pulverizers to get micro particles capable of going in to solution or suspension. If the specialist pharmacy has such gear and it is likely they do, then go with the local guy. It will be easier to communicate with them and builds a relationship making it easier to do other compounding formulations in the future.
