So after all these years, what do you think is the role of Sebum in hairloss? Do you think it's a key factor?

Yes, I think that problems with sebum flow is the initial step in the multifactorial events of common baldness. Sebum is vital for healthy hairs but oxidiced sebum is a poison for it.
Acording to this idea we can explain the pattern of hair loss and the diferent ocurrence between sexes

Where are you getting your data about oxidised sebum being poison for the hairs? Also, how do we get rid of it...? I think I read that vigorous scalp massages will release trapped dht and sebum. What do you think about those massages?

The problem with sebum are the peroxides when it is enrancied/oxidised

I hope so, I'm barely hanging on by a thread. Either about to shave my head and get a wig or just give up on my life altogether. This is my last sliver of hope.

who knows ? Did they use enough vpa ? did they actually get vpa and not get scammed ? did they use it long enough ? did they use it consistently?Did enough people use it for the sample to be meaningful ?
it is almost impossible to know

I don't remember that ever happening

I was referring to threads like these (there are a few from 2016+ as well).

I’m not questioning the treatment, it’s just a bit odd that there hasn’t been much more activity after the initial discussions around how to prepare said agent. I just assumed that that probably meant no success. as @Btg mentioned, there are probably many reasons why.

Hmm so this stuff is similar to Follica minus the VPS?
