More dosing doesn’t mean better results, lol!

Drink 10 diazepam instead 1 and you will die.

Yea, that's the case with some medicines.

But sometimes more is better. Although too much of anything can kill you.

In most cases is like that. More doesn’t mean better. Put more skin cream on your face and your face will react and will be red (in most cases)

What all should be happy is that Replicel is perfectly safe. I don’t want to put something in my head which produce cancer or other serious side effects.

Everything is like that. Too much of ANYTHING will hurt you. Too much water will kill you. Too much oxygen will kill you.

Secondly, I would not spend 1 penny on Replicel simply because it's safe. If they want my money then it needs to be safe AND EFFECTIVE.

Even Shiseido will not spend millions of dollars, because Replicel is only safe.

That is the ONE POINT that seems positive about Replicel. Why would Shiseido put any money into Replicel if they didn't know something that might make Shiseido an effective treatment? I don't know the answer to that question but prior to Samumed releasing its' results some of us thought that based on how Samumed was behaving they must have a breakthrough treatment but then it turned out that (at least so far) their study results were unimpressive. And from that I learnt that drug companies do not always behave sensibly.

I hope Shiseido proves to be a game-changer. I do agree that it is odd that they're spending millions of dollars on a treatment that produced mediocre results in its' phase 1 study.

But keep this in mind: $4 million is only a pittance to pay for a game-changing hair loss cure. If I invented a game-changing cure for hair loss I could get a lot more than $4 million for it.

But keep this in mind: One poster said that Shiseido paid only $4 million for Replicel's treatment, and more importantly $4 million is only a pittance to pay for a game-changing hair loss cure. If I invented a game-changing cure for hair loss I could get a lot more than $4 million for it. It is a small amount of money for Shiseido to pay and it's a small amount of money for Replicel to receive, if it's a game-changing treatment.
While your post is true about the $4mil payout, it's a little misleading. There are more incentives in their agreement.

I hope Replicel is the silver bullet.
I just don't feel a lot of optimism about it.
But I am keeping an eye on it.

If I may put my two cents in, I remember that in this japanese article from w june they compared this method to current treatments and emphasised that it will be used once and daily applications will be redundant. And more important for thinning hair. To my mind it probably means that they will made living follicles dht resistant.( if you are nw3 or less it is even better than Tsuji.)

I'm with you, I believe this has the possibility to be really good for guys who are nw3 or less. You could get this treatment then get your temples filled in with an FUE and potentially be done with this disease. But that is wishful thinking on my part.

I'm only thinning so I am a little biased when it comes to this method because it has the potential to be huge for me.

One thing I've heard from Replicel that I don't get is they said the treatment by Shiseido would probably be based around a single injection. I've heard this in the hellouser interview with Buckler and Hoffman.

Do they mean a single round of multiple (hundreds) of injections, or really just one single injection? You would think that to target the entire 600cm2 hair growing area of scalp, they would need to perform hundreds of separate injections using their injector device.

I'm thinking it will be multiple injections all over the top of the scalp. They describe the cells as being able to "migrate" so you might not need hundreds of injections but who knows.

I've also seen several posts here that they might do 2 rounds of injections but I don't think we'll know these answers for at least another year.

I think they mean they would do numerous injections all over the scalp one time. I do think that one option for them to potentially get better results is if they do repeat injections at subsequent appointments. And there may be some reason for hope that repeat injections might be better if the patients who got the higher dose got better results.

Lets just hope this doesn't turn into a Intercex/Aderans partnership. Didnt Aderans (japanese company) pay big money for whatever research they had seen?

Pics or it didnt happen, and as of now the only company to produce pictures on human scalp both macro and micro (I think thats right ??) are Histogen.

How do you think this will work for diffuse thinners?

If the folicles arent dead they should grow back.

You're basically saying that Replicel is going to be a complete cure at least for NW4 and earlier stages since people who are NW4 and under (and maybe even later stages than NW4 as well) still have all of their working follicles but they have shrunk.

I can't imagine Replicel selling partial rights of a total cure (at least for NW4 and under and maybe later stages too) to Shiseido for $4 million. If Replicel had a total cure for NW4 and under (and maybe later stages as well) then other drug companies (besides Shiseido) would have been making offers also and the payment to Replicel would have climbed much higher than $4 million.

Thats only speculations.
I need to agree with you that they dont specify what is they goal. It is strange for me...

Follicles create hairs by piling up cells. In nature these cells arrive at the follicle at a specific location on the follicle.

In order for injected cells to grow hair the injected cells have to land at the correct spot on the follicles in order for the follicles to turn the cells into hairs. Only a limited number of the injected cells will land at the correct spot on the follicle. Many of the cells will descend (deeper into the skin) between the follicles and some will land at a spot on the follicle that won't facilitate the follicles turning them into hairs.
