The first 4 pictures were taken 3 months ago after a shower (damp hair) . The two following pictures have been taken today. I also uploaded two videos so you can see differences depending on the direction of my hair. https://imgur.com/a/lRIHc

My hairline is solid but now I'm 26 and it's been 4+ years I'm losing hair in the shower and it's gotten much worse in the past 2 years. I seem to lose hair only on top of my head and not on the sides though.

What do you guys think? I tried minoxidil 4 years ago and I think it worked as my hair got much stronger but I stopped because I thought it was a bit early. I should maybe replace Minoxidil by Revivogen as my scalp is often dry and my hair gets oily quickly?

Diffuse thinner. Finasteride and minoxidil are the only two things so far we have that have been proven to work so don't waste your time with Revivogen unless you want to use it with the other two.

Thanks highly appreciate it. Is finasteride worth the risk now? Why shouldn't I try Minoxidil first and see if it stops my hairloss? I've read that topical finasteride has great results too.

Because minoxidil does not combat hair loss as well as finasteride. Minoxidil is a growth stimulant but finasteride blocks DHT which causes male pattern baldness. Minoxidil is just a "band aid". If you can go topical finasteride then go for it. I would myself if I were in your shoes.

diffuse thinning that looks a lot like mine. i also started in my mid twenties. ruined my life. sh*t sucks man. it leaves you with a limp and lifeless ratty patch of straw. can't do much other than keep it short.

stay strong and remember most people don't even notice / care.

Finasteride blocks dht internally whereas topical only under the scalp.

Why didn't you go topical finasteride then?

That's crazy. My hair can be itchy and dry too i wonder if this is because the dht attacks the follicles or because nizoralnis way too dry and I need a more natural and gentle shampoo. Why don't you go minoxidil ?

It was not an option at the time I started. I really don't like to deal with topicals too so it actually worked out better to take it orally.

I doesnt work like that, it enters the blood stream and still reduces a significant amount of DHT. I'm using both atm, topical finasteride is a good product, but it's hard to say if it has less side effects. Try it and give us some feedback, check h&w topcail finasteride.

Glad the oral finasteride turned out well for you. Dealing with topical can be annoying especially as I'm not sure how you can apply both topical finasteride + topical minoxidil. I've seen your name frequently during the past few years, making me think there might be strong user evidence that topical finasteride yield some decent results.

I'll check it. Do you use it in conjunction with minoxidil ?

i tried it but it did nothing for me unfortunately. i don't think it's much use for diffuse thinners. did you try it?

I tried it 4 years ago when I was beginning to lose my hair. After two months my hair was barely falling anymore and I felt like it was way stronger

Im thinking about doing minoxidil Liquid+ revivogen + regenepure. If it doesn't work after 5 months I will switch to topical finasteride. What do you think?

5 months isn't too long. if you're hesitating about finasteride, you can wait and see if it gets worse.

sometimes in our mid twenties we have sudden hair loss for a couple years, and it just stabilizes there.

honestly i think the finasteride success rate is skewed. some people see a bit of temple recession and minor diffuse thinning, and when they haven't lost any more after ten years, they attribute that to finasteride. when the reality is they probably wouldn't have lost any more with or without the drug. just because you have hair loss, doesn't mean total baldness is the inevitable destination, even if it's in your twenties.

it's dangerous to take it in some cases, dangerous not to in others. hair loss is an unpredictable misery.
