I don’t understand you guys haha. My hair was incredibly thick two years ago. Like too thick. Now when I run my hands through my hair it feels like straw. Even when I noticed my balding a year ago it didn’t feel close to this. Also, when I first got on finasteride my crown (and only my crown) would show scalp only when wet. Now when it’s dry I can see it everywhere. On top of this, when I first noticed balding and I got out of the shower n looked in the mirror I saw zero scalp. Check out the wet photos and tell me that’s still the case. Lastly, my hair is objectively thinner by at least 50% within the horse shoe. My horse shoe still feels wicked thick relative to everywhere else.

I’ve also been diagnosed by my dermatologist a year ago when it REALLY wasn’t bad. That’s why I’m prescribed finasteride.

With all of that being said, I’m really happy that you don’t see it. I definitely have some BDD where it looks worse in my head and it’s great to come here and get some support. But my BDD isn’t bad enough to make me create this whole thing in my head.

Hi guys, so I parted my hair the opposite way for a job interview, and I think it looks a bit better. It’s time for a haircut but as of now I think this is okay.

Please let me know what you think. Photos are with toppik and hairspray. Do you believe anyone would notice this thinning through the toppik? The scalp shows in about a quarter-half dollar sized circle (for Americans).

Looks great and no one will have a clue that you are slowly losing your hair ;)

Good luck and hope you get the job!

Thanks man! I really hope I get the job too! I nailed both interviews so let’s see... The first interviewer had REALLY bad diffuse thinning actually. I felt his pain...

Edit: so that thin spot can pass as a cowlick in your opinion?

Here are some wet photos after combing in different directions. I get that combover, streaks of scalp, look in the crown now :(

hair look good bro. WIth toppi we can't see any thinning on crown.
No increase of the gyno/puffy nipples with the fina? ( i can spot it in the shirtless pic)

First of all, thanks for the compliment on my hair. Second, yeah I think my gyno got a little worse (I’ve had gyno for years). But I’ve also gained weight so I’m not sure if it’s finasteride or the weight gain. Either way, I’m gonna start hitting the gym again soon.
It honestly has not been improving lol. Maintaining, maybe. But thanks, I appreciate the support bro.

Got back from being out all day n was disheartened to look in the mirror at the back of my head. I had a line of scalp going straight through my combover. Although it was as obvious as the pic of me pulling my hair back, it was still a noticeable line of scalp.

I haven’t shampooed my hair (helps with styling) in a few days so it’s greasy so hopefully that played in part.

Also I know I’m in dire need for a haircut. I have one scheduled soon. I’ve been very busy and I hate getting my hair cut lol.

The front is still holding up although it is definitely a lot thinner in my nw2 region

What do you guys think? Do you think the average person wouldn’t notice me as “balding”. Again, it looks worse in the mirror.

I don't think so. Normies only consider people balding when you have an obvious bald patch on your crown, or when your hairline is NW3+. You just have slightly thin hair according to them, it looks good.

Thanks bro, I know it’s overall thinner based off of what I see in the mirror after showers, but if pics make it look better than I guess it might not be noticeably worse, and maybe better in some aspects? (My coverup game lol). Appreciate the kind words bruh I’ve been freaking out a bit again lately

What do you guys rate my hairline? About a nw2? It hasn’t changed that much, but that little hole in the hairline that the arrow points to has gotten worse over the last year...

I’ve attached an older pic as well (it’s the one with the same angle but without the arrow, it’s from November). Should I be worried about this?

I tried to get the angle a bit Moreno similar in this photo, first pic is now, the other pic (same as last comment) is from November. Do you guys notice the difference? Or is it too minuscule for 8 months...

    Looks like a sharp NW2.

I’ve been on finasteride for nearly 6 months and hair loss hasnt slowed or anything.

There’s a lot of pages to read , so I’m just going to ask- did finasteride work for you? How many months has it been? & how old are u

I’m not sure if finasteride has worked. I know that my hair feels a lot thinner than before but it deteriorated very quickly shortly after getting on finasteride. I’m not sure if it’s still going at the same rate. It might have slowed down after a few months.

I’ve been on it for about 13 months and I’m turning 23 in July. I encourage you to check out my earlier posts in this thread n check it out for yourself.
