I started duta 5 months ago for the first 3 months I took it once a week and the last two EOD. Ever since starting it 5 months ago I started shedding more and my hairline took a massive hit. Had to stop. I’m a week off it now. Could be s sign I’m getting up regulation from these drugs.

I’m having a hard time functioning in general with life right now with how much I’m shedding.

I just ran my hands through through the right side of my head above my ear. I did this bc I saw a whole bunch of white bulbs sticking out in the mirror. And this is what came out in a ball. I’ve already lost 100-150 hairs prior to this today.

This is so f*****g depressing.

Sucks bc the three derms I’ve been to just say. “Min and finasteride can’t be hurting you. Im not sure why you are still shedding”

Shave it, you won't have to worry anymore. Problem solved.

I still am on finasteride. I dropped oral min. Added proxi to hairline and 25mg of spironolactone a day.

You should have stayed on finasteride only. You shouldnt have tried duta or changing your regimen. You werent loosing hair fast, not like this.

How many times did you run your hands through your hair to accumulate this amount? Would you say it was quite vigorous?

Idk how you don’t see it Man. I think you’re the only one. In that photo it’s significantly thinner. Here is another comparisons. I’m shedding anywhere from 200-300 hairs a day. Hairs are all around much thinner as well.

for a 27 years your hair is really not that bad !! i'm 26 without taking minoxidil and fina/duta so i'm definitely losing it before you haha

Can you show a picture of your full hair instead of close ups?

My guess is that you're going through medical induced telogen effluvium like alot of us who have been on these drugs. Guess we're the unfortunate ones. Personally I'd stop the drug, that much shedding can't be good.

umm its that bad ? i can't how understand how someone can actually count one by one every hair falling every day to reach number like 200 or 300 etc.. maybe you should just sto any treatment for a month to see how your body adapt ? or just go back on the exact regimen you were prior to duta.. ?

I’m 4 days off oral min so I’m going to see how long I can last without it.

So your pics show that your hair is a bit thinner after a year. When I look, I seriously just see a MINOR difference. My hair is thinner after a year too. I seriously think your over reacting based off the photos of your hair. The shedding would scare me tho, but that brings me to the my next point.

I wouldn’t worry about your shedding as much as what you see in the mirror. Some people shed a sh*t ton and aren’t losing hair at all. Sure, some of the hairs your shedding are miniaturizing, but that doesn’t mean all of them are.

been on finasteride for few months, it gave me lipomastia, rubber dick, depressive mood, lethargy, dead libido, so got off of it
plan to try minoxidil, but my density is so low at this point that if i have initial sehd ill look close to slick bald
also with my luck apparently ill get sides even from minoxidil and its game over then
its a sick disease to have for a male at our age, absolute curse

Keep posting. Some whole head shots would help. I can relate to the constant shed. Appearance wise it can be covered but how it feels, change in style, and overall lack density is the silent killer.

I’m in the 30-50 hair camp anytime I touch my hair. All lengths no white bulbs. Still on oral Minoxidil and topical Finasteride. Tried another few days on Propecia fifth day I could barely get off of the couch, no libido.

My guess is topical is doing nothing and if it was I’d have sides. I will be Norwood 1-2 years at this rate after ZERO hairloss for 40 years. I want to sue the Doctor that started me on thyroid medication with no warning and barely a need, now I’m dependent.

Sorry not hijacking, just empathizing. Enough work and maybe we can figure something out.

Is it possible using more topical is making my hair worse? Shouldn’t any Finasteride or AA help miniaturization? Feels like it’s fried now that I’ve gone to twice a day.
