Guys,
I do admit that there are some red flags here that would make one think that this is a scam, but there are also some things that don't make any sense for a scam, there are some deviations from the usual snake oil scenario here:
1. Brotzu discovers the lotion 8 years ago. He notices immediate results with the first version of the lotion, yet he doesn't brag about it and he continues to improve and test it on various people, both Androgenetic Alopecia and areata and both male and female;
2. As he continues with his tests in total silence, there is one article that appears in a scientific magazine and yet he doesn't brag about it. He didn't go to any major newspaper or TV, he didn't promote it in any way, despite of the fact that he is a well know public person in Italy and could easily make himself heard nationwide;
3. Based on the results he got, he puts so much trust in this lotion that he does a true scientific research and files for a patent by himself, again, in total silence;
4. With all the basic requirements in place, he decides to sell it, as in now way he would have ever had the possibilities to produce it on a large scale by himself; Fidia buys it and doesn't say a word;
5. At this moment, the italian forums found out about this and the hysteria begins - they go and interview Brotzu, start calling and e-mail Fidia and their employees, start hunting every possible news in any possible way; the news reach the global audience via this forum and several others;
6. Being harassed like never before, Fidia gives the most useless and ambiguous update ever in the eyes of the public, one that could shut every future question. They haven;t made any kind of claim or promises in that post - just that there is an ongoing study about it. Period.
7. As he was under constant fire from forums, Beps tells that he also waits for news just as everybody else and knows nothing about the studies and the market release; all he knew was that the stability issues were solved and he was not involved in that job; His credibility begins to be questioned a lot so he puts his hands on some strange studies about cetirizine and posts it here without any word about it, just to prove that he "knows stuff"; if you look at that study, it has nothing to do with the tests presented yesterday at Sitri, it is a completely different thing;
8. Fidia files for an European patent and gets it published, still no official words about the lotion; They are now set to sale not just in Italy (like applemets) but in the entire Europe;
9. Beps again has credibility challenges and he yells out loud that Fidia will attend Sitri, though Fidia or Giovanni didn't say a single word about, they didn't brag about it in any way, total silence. Hysteria begins as the italian forum moderators find out after days of waiting that the information is true. Fidia doesn't say anything about their presence at this conference, though it is well known that they are always announcing their attendance at every conference before and after it. More than that, the conference is closed for the public, it is a pure scientific conference, with no intents to promote anything, it's just a discussion between specialists;
My take on this is that Beps is just a fool and acts like a child when mocked, so he throws anything on the table just to show that he is an inside person and plays with our minds to show how great he is and to satisfy his ego. He knows nothing, all he has is some vague info from Giovanni, but apart from that, he knows sh*t. Fidia doesn't give a sh*t about him.
As for Fidia - they continue to keep total silence. The only time they posted about it was when they couldn't use their public e-mail and phone anymore due to worldwide incoming questions.
They didn't say a word about the conference and they did a very poor presentation that indicates it was ready in the last minute - they didn't want to disclose anything more than what was already publicly know.
I think it was their intention to have those 2 mediocre photos in there.
Why? They don't want attention about it yet.
Giovanni most likely told them that he wants to attend Sitri to show his own latest work to his fellow scientific colleagues, but they said that they're not ready to go public with the results and start the products promotion.
So they gave him something mediocre that would not heat up the spirits, but wouldn't embarrass him either and the presentation would basically go unnoticed by the broad public.
Just imagine what would have happened if Brotzu would have shown yesterday some great results, but no release date.
Word would have easily gone out of the conference and reach national and the worldwide audience and they would get assaulted like hell, from every corner of the planet!
So I would say to wait for official news from Fidia, cause until now they haven't said absolutely nothing about the lotion's efficiency in any f*****g way!
