DHT rest shot in from 20 to 43

Still using a ton of Topical Finasteride Daily now adding RU, nothing works and I am suicidal.

Have an Rx now for HGH already spending 2000.00 on doctors and drugs. I was f*****g healthy as f*** three years ago.

I have negligent doctors telling me it’s a chronic Telogen Effluvium when the hair is thick as f*** on the back. Other doctors only want to sell their shitty PRP.

It doesn't work because you do NOT have androgenetic alopecia.

Assuming my best hope that this isn’t just aggressive late onset male pattern baldness in a diffuse pattern.

How would I explain the miniaturization of the hairs that are falling and not growing back beyond an inch or two. If I pull back the longer hair there’s an entire .35 inch of thin .5-1.5 hairs at the hairline and a dense under layer of vellus.

Just got a topical Dutasteride Rx. Worried AF trying it but the speed has been terrifying.

Anyone have experience with this? Is it to be used weekly? Daily? Worried I’ll use to much, I know I use too much topcial Finasteride despite a lack of results.

This is as far as I’m going to go with treatment. In 4 months if there’s no stabilization or positive change I’m dropping everything.

I’ve been following your thread closely over the last few months as I also consider myself to be in the camp of 40 somethings that had a strong baseline but experienced a rapid decline over a seemingly short period.

I appreciate you sharing the advice and treatment options you’ve gotten from specialists. No matter the age or how much hair you still have left, the fact that it is steadily declining really messes with you. I know all about that, I’ve been in that same endless sh*t storm for a few years now. Some days are better than others and I don’t care but I find that when I am stressed about other things in my life I tend to focus even more negatively on my hair situation. Trying to recognize these patterns and find ways to counter those thoughts is hard but I feel like it’s the only element you can control in a situation like this

Unfortunately, I don’t have any experience with topical dustastride or any treatments beyond the oral finasteride and rogaine foam I’ve used for the last 15+ years. Despite having been on those treatments since my early 20s, I’ve taken a real hit in density all over starting at around 38 (I’m now 40)

Have you considered cutting your hair shorter? If you are dealing with miniaturized hair as I am, longer hair tends to magnify it in my opinion. Not saying what you have looks bad at all, just that you might like how it looks shorter. Changing it up might help you find a new baseline instead of comparing your current hair status to what you had even 2-3 years ago

I hope the new treatment works out for you man. Try to find someone you can talk to about it, it really does help

@Teeq19 thanks man appreciate the input. It is embarrassing especially given how tough it is for the young guys. I was clueless when this started and have been told over and over again that it’s not male pattern baldness. But I see it , Insee the miniaturization and the change in the hairs.

really thought taking the plunge in Finasteride would help matters but it has only accelerated. Going to give Dutasteride a shot and hope that I can just get it under control.

I do plan to go shorter at some point. Right now I can hide some of the thinning with the long hair but won’t be able to in a few months at this rate.

Debating going very short at that point so it looks like a bold change not a response to thinning. Unsure though, hair has always been such a big part of my look for a very long time. Even before it was long it was dense curly on top. Never thought things could change so much in 3 years.

Mines gone from to the point where I had to ask my barber to use the thinning scissors because it was so thick to way worse than yours in just 6 months. It’s tough!

Just an update. I am rapidly losing ground. Thinning at the temples has increased and even the sides and back are very very thin.

Maine regrowth but the are things and short, losing a lot of 2-3 inch hairs with ends that are tapered to a total point. Not sure what to try as I’ve had sides on any of the oral meds.

ALL of the hair on my head is much much thinner

I have topical Dutasteride but that scares me.

my RU isn’t dissolving. But using it with 1% Finasteride and oral Minoxidil.

If the sides and back are thinning why do you think it's male pattern baldness?

It’s not tapered ends you should be worried about, it’s hair that’s tapered at the roots. Hair only looks blunt at the end if there’s breakage or its been cut. Left to its own devices, every hair on your head would end in a taper.

More thinning in Norwood region. It’s like the ‘invisible’ baldness I read about. Still can look ok but a fraction of the hair left and increased miniaturization all over.

That was taken on the same day last week as the others.

It’s falling out so fast. Overall the hair health is awful. Washing once a week.

Trying to regrow but that wave of 4 inch hairs have mostly fallen and there’s a round of maybe 1 inch hairs that I fear are too thin to go terminal. I’m drenching myself in topical Finasteride and taking 7mg oral minoxidil

I also can hide the loss if density with the long hair and some brown dry shampoo.

Shiiiit man, your hair still looks great. Nobody would say you're balding.

Holy fck at some of the guys here with NW1 dense packs crying about balding...
Better rename this thread just paranoid about going bald in less then a year. Most cases on here are strictly paranoia influenced by anxiety and BDD. I was once the same person as these guys but I stuck to my treatments and realized hair can be maintained for many years if you just are consistent and have faith in your treatments. @bluecyclone will never be bald. Most high NWs show major loss by their 40's and he is already there. If he just stays on finasteride and minoxidil he will always maintain a full head of hair. Will it be the same in 10 years? Most likely less density but no one will notice but himself. Been there, done that.

Hair is just changing fast for me.

I get it, I’m still ok. But from my baseline when this started it’s been a huge change. Only since Finasteride has the hairline started to thin. If I can stabilize or recover a bit. I will chill out.

This photo shows the temples thinning. I’m using the topical Finasteride and oral minoxidil but I have to say my hair has only gotten worse on it.

side note. I’m in Spain and two guys at the train stating just got hair transplants together. Like the buddy system for this.

You have amazing hair for 40 and your not even greying at all, just stick to your current treatments. I don't think you could be shedding as much as you think and still have the amount of hair left that you do.

It’s falling fast. When I tell you I had incredible dense hair 3 years ago I’m not lying.

this is happening despite treatment. I’m hitting a point now where the hairline is going. Small hairs all over that don’t get long.

you can see here in the sun.
