Long read ahead yall
The fact that some men WHO WANTS TO REMAIN A MALE but also want to keep their hair / regrow it resort to estrogen (17b estradiol) therapy and accepts the side effects it comes with to MAYBE (I say maybe because SOME men who have been bald for decades who use hrt don't necessarily regrow all their hair back...I think I have a few reasons as to why but that's a topic for another time) regrow long lost hair, maintain hair and increase the growth rate of it is so messed up.
But I do understand why some men resort to it and much respect to yall. When we look at females we see they eat whatever they want, use all types of hair products, etc etc and keep just about all their hair and YES I know there are some women on here who are going thru this phenomenon we call androgenetic alopecia too (Ladies going thru it, I see yall too!) But females for the most part are less prone to this. But why? Well for 1 the scalp is well, feminine.... yes you heard me right. Let me break it down.
So the scalp is peripheral tissue and TESTOSTERONE converts to estrogen in oxygenated areas in peripheral tissues via AROMOTASE enzyme (imma touch back on this enzyme later) which both men and women have but women naturally have way more of this enzyme present (I think like 7 fold or something like that) that's due to them being estrogen dominant.
Now for us men right, for the most part we are Testosterone/Androgen/ Dht - dominant right. We know testosterone/dht can influence muscle size and male characteristics not only what we can see physically but on a cellular level too. With androgenetic alopecia it's been found that the connective tissue sheath and the Muscle Cells in the scalp is over contracting via the Myosin Light Chain Kinase pathway and this activates the PIEZO pathway which senses tension. (A lot of people dump on the tension theory but it without a doubt plays a role). The Myosin Pathway can be inhibitited via ML-7 which is a research chemical its widely available in powder form, theres also the infamous Capsaicin that's from hot chili peppers and has been talked about for decades and decades on its aid to growing hair, sal-b acid also and this tarantula venom peptide [can't remember the name off top] (honestly in my humble opinion we need that potent pharma grade stuff to help us... ML-7) "Strictly what does this have to do with us men going thru this issue?" Well like I said men for the most part are Testosterone/Androgen/Dht dominant and I feel like these might be one of the reasons contracting maybe going on in the muscle cells / connective tissue sheath.
Why maybe? Well I think there maybe more factors contributing to this it has to do with the gut I found out that beneficial bacteria/ good bacteria thrive off estrogen environments and protects the body against some of the negative stuff that happens via all the chemicals in foods, pollution, etc etc but on the scalp / hair tip it keeps the scalp Suttle, relaxes muscle cells / inhibits the myosin light chain kinase pathway, keeps the aromatase enzymes rich and alive etc
some of yall may laugh but I think what maybe MAYBE happening is that migrating gut bacteria (like demodexmites says " Them damn mites! I know he be trolling but he dead might be right crazy enough) is reeking havoc in not only the gut but also the scalp not only the scalp but prostate too (us men are prone to prostate cancer they say it's dht but damn what if it's the migrating gut bacteria going there, our body senses a foreign pathogen and triggers dht which is a anti-inflammatory to try to take care of so called pathogen?) It's also suspected via Ancient Chinese Medicine that the kidney meridians are over the scalp (which makes sense because with some drug test they'll cut a strand of hair preferably the scalp to see if your clean).
"Okay Strictly you tweaking now man. You dont know what you talking about."
Maybe I am tweaking but one things for sure the scientists in the lab coats running experiments and trials don't fully understand hairloss either (and that's no shade to them) hell it was discovered recently that what we've been told about how hair grows for centuries is actually wrong via.
So hey man let's tweak together.
I didn't think it was gonna come out this long, maybe I could've made my own thread but this thread by far has the most activity. But my conclusions
MALE BORN BIOLOGICAL MEN IF YOURE THINKING OF RESORTING TO MIXING ANTI-ANDROGENS & ESTROGEN / HRT AND WANT TO REMAIN A MALE BUT WANTS TO KEEP / REGROW HAIR - I wouldn't recommend it BUT we are human and I'm down for humans to use free will but understand free will dosent mean you'll be free of consequences. I understand that estrogen is one of the most powerful growth stimulators beyond what we have but it's more than just that it's a mother hormone.
How about myosin light chain kinase pathway inhibiting? Now for us men who refuse to do the hrt route I believe we need to subtract the tension going on within the smooth muscle cells/connective tissue sheath with something very potent via ML-7 wether it be topically, orally, or injection wise. The problem is, tho it's widely available somewhat budget friendly ish (can reach prices up to $150 or so for like 5 grams) how in the hell can I compound this at home? I'm not a chemist, I wish there was a genius in the forums who could compound for us. Also things like shock therapy on the scalp can inhibit it and I suspect hijama cupping might help too.
Next we got the very important enzyme for us Testosterone/Androgen dominant men - AROMATASE! This enzyme literally converts androgens into estrogen in the scalp! We NEED more studies on this! Without a doubt! This is a very very important enzyme for us men! I suspect that men who clearly androgen dominant got a crazy supply of this enzyme available! How can we increase aromatase? We'll there is corticosteroids like alpicort-f but if you live in the u.s. it's impossible to source it and not only that corticosteroids can cause skin hytrophy when used consistently. So there's that. The lab coaters or damn it us bro scientist gotta look into ways to increase this enzyme safely.
We need something that can reverse fibrosis/scar tissue that has settled on the scalp too DESPERATELY not a tgf-1 inhibitor which would help if you catch it early but what about if the fibrosis/scar has been there for years? See what I mean?
by no means am I a saint I definitely looked into the hormonal route I was even looking to see if I could just inject estradiol Valerate, benozate, etc to my scalp only via insulin syringe but after researching I stopped investigating the esters/preservatives and the oils that contain the estrogen can cause infections and what not. Not only that it will go systematic anyways so it's no point personally I don't want to risk gyno, osteoporosis etc.
But ladies and gentlemen it's been good, I'm done going on my tangent yall can excuse me now.
(P.s. - regardless of gender/sex/race etc we are here for the same thing we want to keep our hair, regrow long lost hair etc I'm open to any critiques and or corrections yall give me, much love)
