There is an interesting post on reddit about it:
I still don't trust that theory. They are saying the culprit is DHEA and DHEA-S yet when my DHEA and DHEA-S were higher back in 2023 my DHT was 4.5-5 ng/dl and now my DHEA and DHEA-S are lower and my DHT sits on 18 to 22 ng/dl. I won't say the theory is fake by any means, some peope could fit on that theory but it is not true for me.

I am gonna start prog again and this time Im gonna keep taking it cause i have nothing to lose.

In this study '' https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25201454/ '' they mention this:
The combination of abiraterone and dutasteride decreased testosterone and DHT in the presence of progesterone but increased DHT in the absence of progesterone.

I will not be using abiraterone for obvious reasons but maybe e2 + bica + dutasteride kinda leads to a similar blockade of androgens in non high DHEA/DHEA-S people, so maybe prog could decrease dht in presence of dutasteride + e2 + bica in people without heightened DHEA and DHEA-S (again I am speculating and I will test it since I have nothing to lose at this point).

I am starting with 100 mg prog rectally and will increase it if I don't feel anything is improving or if my next blood test shows similar DHT as now. If my DHT gets lower I will keep the 100 mg and if it gets higher I will stop it entirely.

your free T level is higher as well, probably corresponding to the increase in DHT seen

And your SHBG is very high. It is soaking up all the E that you have in your body, leaving you with more fractional free T

It is not higher than when i had very low DHT tho(in july 2023 i had 3 pg/ml T yet the lowest DHT i ever had), so it still makes no sense. SHBG is not that high, only in august 2024. SHBG actually helps because it binds way more to T and DHT than e2 so it is doing its function there acting as an AA

Yet it makes no sense how DHT shot to the double digits. And also, SHBG does prefer binding to T and DHT more, but when androgen levels are already castrate range / low levels, it starts soaking up Estradiol instead. Since you have high E levels, high SHBG is doing more harm in this case

Yeah I think i am an exception cause i dont have high DHEA-S/DHEA/Androstenedione, I also take dutasteride so it makes things even weirder. As I said I don't have many new stuff to use anymore so I will try with progesterone and see what I can achieve

Yeah im planning on lowering it when I get my dht under control and get physically castratred which should happen at any point cause as i said previously my testicles are ischemic and it is a matter of time since they become necrotic and start to give me serious issues. I remember when I had lower shbg I had more feminization but I always blame on dht and not shbg but prob both are contributing.

When high e2 levels can spike shbg and so doing problems? Over 1000 pg ml?

If you found the cause make sure to tell us. This sh*t is so criminally understudied it's crazy
