It is actually a wig he has and not a transplant (hence why he won't disclose the details for fear of the stigma attached to wearing???)and it is widely known amongst the football community in England that it is a wig.
Why it made the news i have no idea?? :dunno:

I noticed his big thin patch at the back had gone. I thought it was a wig....mystery solved!

And the players! - Apparently the fans used to chant "you're bald, and you know you are"

I noticed Ricardo Carvalho's hair has improved a lot as well this season, he most have done something.

Quick scan on the internet reveals,

Makes me laugh, as you know the guys on these boards who mention or created the thread are probably balding themselves, and the guys who post "why can't they go bald gracefully, skinheads are cool" are probably already bald.

Final one. http://www.baldingcelebrities.com/

Well, I've made an appointment to go and see them next week:

http://www.whitecliffsgroup.com/

I have a LOT to learn about hair transplant's, and to be perfectly honest, I haven't a clue where to begin. This board is really helpful, I just wish I was as clued up as many of the people I read on here.

Anyway, there is no chance I am going to hand over any money just yet, not until I increase my knowledge considerably. But the appointment is free, so I'll see what they have to say.

I'll report back.

I'm pretty sure that is a wig and not a transplant.

You can get anything that places like White Cliffs supply much cheaper from the internet.

Fair play to the lad for admitting it. They have done a good job of it too.

Being 25 and receding like Petrov I have often thought about it.

I refuse to think that he just used laser...and bang hair everywhere...!
Exactly (since laser does'nt work!!!!!) The thing is many people will prefer to say that all they did was sit under a laser because that does'nt sound too bad. When in fact we know that in reality they are either wearing a rug (shameful) or have resorted to surgery (also shameful) its abit like when McConahey claims he grew all his hair back using some topical. :jackit:

but it is a shame to wear a rug or to have an hair transplant...everyone want to look better no matter how...look at the girls...they are spending hours before go out...they have surgeries for lips or *** or breast enlargements...why is so shameful to replace somehow your hair?it is a thing to make you look better...because to be honest...nothing can change much more the appearance of a person than hair...

Have'nt you noticed Men and women are not the same? Each sex has its own role and vanity and insecurity are not masculine traits. :gay:
A real man should'nt worry about his looks.

c'mon I'm not agree with that...normally if the lack of something that belongs to my body will not disappear or will not change my appearance...i won't do anything regarding improvement of my look...but how can I ignore this when the lack of hair turn the guy i was into another?...

Dont you get it? If you're a real man your losing hair should'nt bother you. You should be secure and confident enough to be able to just shave it off and say so what its not a big deal I've got more things going for me than just hair. And really if you're a real goodlooking guy you'll be able to handle the change without it effecting you like Jason Statham or Bruce Willis ect.

Is this fair - no but its just how it is.
Deep down everyguy who goes bald hates it but most will just man up and accept it. Thats what 90% of guys in our situation do.
So does that make us more insecure and unconfident than most I'll happily admit that as a guy who's had hair transplant's yes it obviously does. Unless you're a model or actor and rely on your looks for your career and income.
Go and tell any girl you're wearing a wig or have had a hair transplant the polite ones will say "Oh really" but be thinking f*** me what a twat  . Many however would laugh in your face.
None will find it attractive that you were so insecure and concerned about your looks that you resorted to something so unnatural.
