From what I have seen, most women do not have a hardline cut-off for height, even if they say otherwise. However, if a guy is short he needs to compensate with status or looks, with status becoming increasingly important as the targeted women get older.

For example, I know an average looking NW3 guy in his forties that is around 5'7" with a very attractive wife, but he makes seven figures. If this guy was in his twenties and single, but with the same high income (from an office job, not from something like pro athlete, club owner, etc), I doubt he would do that well, even as a NW1. In contrast, a jared leto looking guy of the same height may do very well with early twenties women, especially if he is a musician or bartender or something.

For similar reasons, this is why baldness is such bullshit if you are just some regular dude. It means you now have to compensate, one way or another, for a genetic trait that is a clear and unmistakable liability in the dating market.

Right so height is like every other attribute.

There's so much cope in this thread ... It's like this:

If you're 5'7, you can probably get women as long as you're awesome in a lot of other ways.

If you're 6'3, you will get women as long as you're not terrible in too many different ways.

Yes, that's true - women wear makeup, heels, extensions and push-up bra's. However, can you really blame me for wanting a man taller than me and that doesn't shrink 2 inches once he takes off his shoes?

You want to feel feminine.

By the way, the equivalent of 5'7 for a woman is about 6'0 or 6'1. That's the expected height of your partner if you're getting an equivalent male.

Captin what kind of p*rn do u like man?

dont u like dick in pornos?

That's a random question.

Anyway, I prefer looking at ladies rather than dudes. That said, I get off on seeing the pleasure on a woman's face, and most girls doing lesbian p**rn are not actually lesbian, and it comes across that they are not really enjoying the scene. So it's back to hetero p**rn for me. 21naturals is a great site. I have been planning a membership. I think you can get a years membership for like 70 euros.

It's not about me projecting onto a dick, it's about me witnessing the woman's enjoyment. The random smile, the uncontrolled facial contortion.

Wanting no.
Disqualifying, yes.

tbh I could give 0 fucks if the chick I'm dating is taller than me

the one time I did go on a date with a girl significantly taller than me though (she was prob like 5'10"-5'11") she was acting uncomfortable as f*** the whole time. Didn't lead to anything. That's what would be annoying about it, if it bothered the chick

I don't think a man wearing shoe lifts is attractive.

Most women are probably not turned off by the fact that the guy shrinks two inches after taking the lifts off, so much as the fact that the guy is mental/insecure enough to wear lifts in the first place. It's like wearing a rug. Insecurity is a huge turn off and can't really be compared to physical attributes like height, baldness, and so on. It's more like not wanting to date a girl because she is insufferably shallow, superficial, etc.

Of course, women wear make up, push up bras, etc., and men are subjected to a double standard, but what else is new.

Yes this is a difference between girls and guys I think. We are less put off by girls 'faking' it. Probably, as you say, down to guys not minding insecurity in girls, whereas it's a big turn off for girls.

I just wish girls didn't wear heels though. Seems almost like a backwards thing to me. Guys like shorter girls, girls like taller guys, and yet it's girls who wear heels. Is it a cultural thing or is there some reasoning for this that I don't see?

5'7 is tall for a girl though.

Show her your poetry skills and she'll make an exception :p

Not where I live we have a lot of tall slim amazons.
But we also have a lot of petite cute curvy girls
we have tiny ballerina bodies (and some actual ballerinas).

we have everything, it's a smorgasbord to be honest..

This. I never dated a girl who was taller than me, but I've dated women up to 5'11" without giving it a second thought. A lot of these women don't get approached as much as women of average or below average height, probably because more guys are intimidated.

Also some men ecourage or 'look' for women who are high maintenance look.

because we have a sexier walk in them and our butt and legs look better.

Why? It's like saying I blame you for disqualifying women over a certain age. We can't help what we're attracted to, and I'm not attracted to men shorter than me.

I don't disqualify based on age. I have preferences based on appearance. There are 45 year old women who look better than other 30 year old women. In addition, I don't disqualify based on easily fixable things. Girl is bald? No problem, just wear a wig. Similarly, height is so easily fixable with lifts (within reasonable bounds, you can't go from 5'4 to 5'10 with lifts).
