she doesnt really have hair loss though. at the least so minor its not visible

How do you know? Have you seen her in person? She is struggling from hair loss — I don’t care if it minor or not! My sister had diffuse thinning all over her head... she was losing 250-350 hairs a day. Thankfully, it was a hormonal issue for her, and she is now regaining her hair slowly but surely. She had to cut it very short though. This persisted for a little over a year, and for a young woman, I felt awful for her! A woman’s hair mean far more to them than man’s hair means to him. I know it sucks to be balding, but in general us men can be accepted in public as a bald man, whereas a women it can be incredibly traumatic. To whatever extent Georgie’s hair loss is, I’m sure it’s traumatic to her, and we should be encouraging and understanding at the least. Unfortunately, we all live in a time where a lot of focus is put on physical appearance, and it can be very tough to try and live up to unattainable expectations. As much as I hope there will be a “cure” to hair loss soon, so we all can have our pain eased, I also hope we can each learn to cope with the situation we’re in/given. I need to practice what I preach, though, cause I’ve yet to come to grips with my hair loss...

if Georgie says she suffers from heavy hairloss and if she thinks that its already noticable to an objective person - ok, i believe her and damn she seems to really have psychlogical issues as a result which should be handled by a psychologist. she has a disturb sens of self, because every normal and objective person, who is looking at her photos, would agree that she is an attractive woman.

so she could go out every night and fvck five 7.5 + dudes..... every fvcking night.
she could be in warm and loving relationship with an attractive, intelligent young men ( if her psychlogical and emotional feelings would allow closeness and a relationship)

on the other hand, most men on this forum who are suffering hairloss would be happy finding ONE woman every year.

so..... as hard as hairloss for a woman can be..... dont underestimate hairloss for men and dont act like white knights.

edit:
i was in a relationship with a woman losing her hair. but she realy lost her hair. for me she was just beautiful and very feminine as a woman could possibly be.
im still in a loose contact with her. she always had boyfriends and is currently engaged. although losing her hair was hell for her, she always had a partner eho could give her strength and support.
most young men suffering from hairloss dont have this. ..

I appreciate everyone’s comments. I didn’t intend to downplay hair loss in men, as I understand it’s very tough, also. I am only in the early stages of hair loss, and hoping I can stall it for at least 5-6 years, and hoping a better treatment will be available then. Much hoping, I know! I don’t know Georgie, and haven’t seen any pictures of her hair, but I doubt she’s making up the fact that she’s losing hair. Maybe it’s minor, but clearly it’s bothering her enough to be on this forum.

As for hair in woman vs man being more important, I stand by what I said. I have several reasons behind my statement too. I understand people may disagree with me, but if I had to choose hair loss between myself or my sister, I’d choose myself. First, media has put tremendous emphasis on physical attractiveness in women.. and men too, I know. So, when women don’t meet the standard that media puts out there, they feel lesser of themselves. Emphasis is put on hair for women... you don’t see any actresses with hair loss. You could mostly say the same for male actors, too. Also, hair loss is more common in men, and at greater extents. Granted, we’re still in the minority. I know that’s weak, but it still makes it less taboo. Lastly, the Bible literally states that a woman’s hair is her glory... 1 Corinthians 11:15.

14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

You all may discredit that because you don’t believe the Bible, but at least know that 2,000 years ago hair was a bigger deal for women just as it is today, at least in my opinion.

Unfortunately, hair loss for anyone is awful, especially at a younger age. I hope no one takes offense to what I’m saying, or thinks that I don’t understand how challenging hair loss in men is. I truly hope there is a cure soon, or at least better treatment options that allow us to keep our hair! It would be a huge burden lifted for so many of us.

Retrograde. I have no sideburns. My nape is receded. My temples are receding. My top is widening. I also have diffuse. This is the only photo you’re getting.
“People with hairloss are the minority”. No a**h**, people with full body hairloss + retrograde + female pattern are the f*****g minority. I’D KNOW.

Unusual hairloss. Are you balding in the Ludwig scale at all (e.g. wide part). Have you ever received a formal diagnosis from a hair transplant surgeon or hair loss specialist?

Yes I alsl have Ludwig pattern loss, and diffuse hairloss all over my body. I have scalp biopsies which confirm Androgenetic Alopecia. The “weird” pattern (definitely looks weird) is retrograde. It’s not unheard of but it’s not all that common in Androgenetic Alopecia. I went through menopause when I was 21, 4 years ago. I attribute this to the body hair thinning. The rest is probably bad luck and sh*t genetics.

Man, that is some seriously shitty luck. Not just for the hair loss but going through menopause so prematurely. I wonder if an endocrinologist would be able to help you. I don't even know what to advise of someone in your boots.

Have you ever spoke to evilocks? I remember she was someone in a similar situation. Either way, take it easy.

I have a gynaecologist who treats me for my hormones but sadly if tried everything and nothing works for my hair.

Yes I’ve spoken to evil, she’s awesome:) Sadly not many other women frequent the forum though

the menopause thing sucks. what does it entail besides no periods and no kids?

cuz those 2 aspects are huge positives

Hi Georgie,

From the picture you posted I honestly don’t see anything wrong with your hair. I’m not saying there is nothing but it seems you think it’s way worse than it actually is.

Most females don’t have sideburns and many who do don’t want them.

Have you seen a Doctor about your depression? Have you considered BDD?

Sorry if these are things you have discussed before but I think your priority should be your mental health over your hair loss. I appreciate you probably think that’s the cause but you said yourself you would probably still feel similar with perfect hair.

Hope you’re feeling a bit better from when you first posted anyway. Take care.

They really aren’t positives. No periods means no ovulation which means no estrogen which means sh*t bone density, joints, ages skin, hair loss (obviously), acne, skin epression, no libido, insomnia, about 20 years shaved off your life. List goes on and on. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Lel, like a give a sh*t about white knighting brah ! i'm always bashing her with trololol memes when she posts nudes-like to show her hair.

Jokes aside, menopause is a mess, and yes with menopause there's a huge female libido drop, like pedophile being castrated to remove their urges.

Vag dryness, no lube anymore, and the list goes on...an equivalent would be you stop producing your main male sexual hormone Testosterone...=> castration
