You should read up on big pharma and how drug companies purposefully destroy others drugs with false reviews and such. You sound like a hypocondriact (not attempting to be rude, I just literally think you were putting these pains and issues in your head). There is no such confirmed case of 4 days irreversibly messing with libido, or even messing with libido for an extended period of time.

You are the same type of kid that cried wolf that prevented me for so long from taking action. The FDA also has approved many drugs to perform outside of the original scope, including minoxidil, latisse, etc. The FDA trials to have dutasteride approved for hair loss are worthless now the patent has expired and cheap generics have hit the market. Again - read. It was slated to get approved but it's all about who and why someone wants to make money off this.

Yeah man. I'd lie about it..

I'd lie about a drug that shrinks your prostate.

Go to propeciahelp.com there is a new member everyday.

You think that site is fake too?

The f*****g leaflet of Propecia says "can cause impotence, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculation disorders, gyno and depression. These side effects may persist after the medication is discontinued."

Can the drug help for hair loss? YES! I am not denying that fact.

However sides are f*****g real bro.

The FDA forced Merck to update the labels because of this warning of these sides.

If you don't get the sides I am happy for you.

If you don't get sides and you halt your hair loss than that is great.

But you are taking a risk in the process.

Read the side effects forum on this site. Think people are making those up too?

I WISH this drug worked for me and I didn't have problems with it.

And why are there class action lawsuits against Merck?

Remember Vioxx? That was a safe drug they released.

I'm going to stop implying things at this point, but consider me living across from the NIH -- my potential occupation and what resources I have available to me. Not sure why you are evening discussing Propecia in my thread, as well as leaflet literature with no references. I do not take Propecia and it is not part of my regiment. But alas- the drug is designed to shrink your prostate after all.

Can you name any large pharma company without litigation transpiring from patients, or class actions suits?

It just seems very hard to believe that one would get sexual sides that persist after being on the drug for only 4 days. Again, no one is denying that the drug has no sides, but the chances are very low to get sides and they are almost always reversible. Like you said there is a risk, but the risk is worth the reward in most cases. Just like I risk dying by driving my car everyday.

Also it's kind of hard to take propeciahelp seriously. I've seen posts on there where people claim ED after taking a single pill and some of the sides they report don't even seem like they could be linked to finasteride. imo its just a bunch of people with placebo side effects, although there are without a doubt some genuine people on there.

The leaflet of

I was on it for 4 days when the sides immediately hit me. I literally felt my testicles and prostate expanding and retracting.

One of the worst pains of my life.

I had to be put on cipro to get rid of the inflammation. It caused prostatitis.

I wish I could of tolerated the med. It took about 4 weeks for everything to settle down again.
enjoy being bald

I have extremly high sex drive even though im on finasteride since one month and this is really
annoying. Im starting to believe that finasteride does nothing for me. It´s just like I´m not even eating it, no sides at all and no improvment in hairline. Could it be wise to drop propecia even after one month and jump to dutasteride instead? Or should I stick to propecia and wait 2 more months.

I'd say wait it out, 1 month isnt really a good enough length of time to gauge its effectiveness. The high sex drive is probably due to the increase in free T but hopefully things should balance out.

Why would you want to balance that out? :p

Why the phuck is OP not answering anyone's questions?
All questions have been answered. If the question is dosage of dutasteride, it would be standard which is .5mg daily. I use nizoral (2%) anytime I wash my hair, and minoxidil twice a day. I miss a day usually once a week due to being single and not coming home. Dermaroll once a week (realistically once every two to three weeks).

No side effects persisted passed first month. No dandruff, no testicle pain, etc. I do believe I additional continuation will prove successful. Considering RU and/or building a low level laser product to emulate those on the market. The lasers are inexpensive but usually don't come in the form desired.

Hi OP,
Can you please comment on this question?

Peace.
It does hurt, and I use 1.5mm. I bleed quite a bit, purposefully. I do everything but sides.

Hello all,

I'm a young 23 year old male who has been plagued by hairloss from an early age. By 19, I was pretty aware that my hairline was receding quickly. I went to a dermatologist and was proscribed propecia. After reading side effects online, I was too scared to use the drug.

Fast forward to about 2 years ago. I saw a hairloss doctor and was set on getting a hair transplant. I am very glad I did not, as I saw a run of the mill-- we want your money type doct. I think I even posted some questions here before a few years back, but couldn't find my old username.

About two months ago I was sick of not doing anything. I was sick of the fact that in about a year I had gone from thinning to almost completely bald in the front and my vertex was severely progressing. I wanted to recoup as much hair as possible. I read many non medical solutions and started there.

After a week or two of those methods, I decided to take the plunge and get dutasteride. I first started out with a script from my doctor on Advodart, and by my last fill, the script had a generic on the market (dutasteride) by TEVA. My monthly copay went from $48 to $8 which I was very happy about. I purchased a 6month supply of Kirkland brand Minoxidil from Costco (manufactured by the same company as rogaine). I did this for a few weeks, when I ready about Nizoral. I purchased the OTC version. Last time at the Doctor, I asked for script for the 2% and I was able to get that with only a $4 copay (yay! cheap and stronger nizoral).

What you are going to see is a very dramatic change. The changes shown are after only 56 days of treatment, nizoral was about 2-3 weeks after Rogaine and dutasteride. I have a derma-roller and have used it about 5-6 times. I just use it once on the weekends, and still apply minoxidil after. I am so ecstatic, I am probably going to start a blog outlining my progress. I have about 150 pictures so far outlining the progress.

Keep in mind the starting pictures were taken with a front facing camera, which is why they were grainy. I quickly realized the best method of pics, which you will see in all future photos.

Side Effects:I did start getting dandruff from Minoxidil, but the nizoral resolves that. I also use about a 3 month supple in a 2 month window. (more than suggested). I am taking one .5mg of Dutasteride each day. For the first two to three weeks I noticed some ball ache (like light blueballs, mild headache in the balls). This has since disappeared. I haven't noticed any sexual side effects, I can still perform 3+ times daily. I realistically do not get any acne anymore. Each month I used to get a few zits, but I don't get anything now. I may have had 1 zit in the past 2 months and it was a sweat zit at the hat line. This was awesome for me!!

Some people note less body hair. I haven't really noticed that, but I can say my beard appears to be growing in more full than before.

My suggestion to any young man like myself: do not let this take over your life. My biggest regret was not starting a treatment sooner. I hope to get back most of what I lost, but the earlier you start, the better your chances!! Do not make the mistake of giving up or let the overly negative hairloss community sway you into believing there is nothing you can do.. because you can! Here is proof!

The black spot is a identifying tattoo covered.

Note: I will not entertain the negative crowd and/or respond. Lets act like adults.
