I am operating a blog about alopecia in Japan, and we have a cooperative relationship with "Follicle Thought" and "HLC 2020" which is a global hair loss blog.
As a blogger, I respect two blogs and aim for it.
I think that the direction of blogs is different, but I hope to be able to work hard and develop each other.

I think that, despite it's been many years for Histogen (2011, when they publicly started), I actually
DO BELIEVE this will happen:
Histogen -> 2020 - 2030 Being the FIRST stem cell technology has it's rewards, even if other
products are more of a "cure" (cloning DHT resistant hair).
I think they will be the first MAJOR stem cell player in the market. They didn't throw their "money" into
one country (trials in Mexico AND JAPAN).
Replicel -> Great IDEA. Can it BE DONE? Cloning organs or skin TODAY is probably VERY SCIENTIFIC, yet
ULTIMATELY, this is the "CURE".
Brotzu Solutions -> 2018 It will be out this October. I think this will be either a HIT with people, and not a major HIT
with others. But, I think it will be SIDE EFFECT FREE, for the most part.
We really need to be OPEN minded, even if we don't give money, we probably SHOULD be rewarding these players,
because let's face it, everything out now is something built on the success of Finasteride (dutasteride), or Minoxidil (Bimaprost).
Not to say they are not BETTER, but they are not completely "new".

Follicel, I actually live within DRIVING distance from them (I live in the United States). Yet
I don't really know sh*t about it, because I'm not too optimistic about the idea of wounding
to regrow hair.
Personally, in my own opinion, I don't think that wounding follicles is going to grow them back (for
a small percentage of people, who aren't suffering from androgen related baldness, (i.e. immunity), it
might work.
But, I think the "idea" is a flop. Let's face it, if WOUNDING SCALP hair DID STOP BALDNESS, we
wouldn't NEED MEDICATIONS.
I'm STILL not seeing any results from DERMAROLLING (Although, I've only done it since December
2017).
I DON'T THINK I WILL SEE ANY NEW HAIR REGROWTH FROM DERMAROLLING.

This is the technology that is most likely to be realized. At the moment there is no new announcement from Shiseido.
But in 2018 I predict there will be some new announcement.

Some people may not be affected by androgenic alopecia.
It is genetically low activity of 5α reductase.
However, the activity of many people is quite normal.
5α DHT acts negatively on the hair and plus on the body hair.
If this can be reversed it is completion of the ideal therapeutic drug.
