Hello! I am Fuji Maru Kagurazaka.
I live in Tokyo, Japan. Thank you.

What kind of business do you do in Kobe medical industry city?

We combine our technology with "hair regeneration medical technology" introduced from a Canadian bio venture company and are working on offering hair regeneration medicine as a new treatment for alopecia and thinning hair in collaboration with medical institutions I will.

Regeneration of hair Please tell me about the chance of working on cell medicine.?

We have been engaged in the development of hair tonic products for many years and have accumulated research on hair physiology. Regarding hair regeneration, we also worked on fundamental research in collaboration with external research institutes.
In 2013, we are introducing technology in partnership with venture companies with their own hair regeneration technology and clinical data.
As a new industry with international competitiveness, a new law on regenerative medicine has been enacted in order to nurture regenerative medicine, and enterprises can accept processing cultures of cells.

Regeneration of hair What kind of strengths do you have in cell medicine?

In 1982 "Medicinal Fertility Forest". In 2005, we released "medicated adenogen" blended with biologically relevant ingredient adenosine, approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as a quasi-drug product.
Based on the origin of pharmacology, I have been working on hair and hair research from the founding stage, but since the 1980's I have been doing research on genes and cellular levels of hair and skin and it is one of our strengths.

Please tell us about your future efforts.?

I would like to advance the confirmation of the therapeutic effect in cooperation with a specialist for practical application of hair regrowth medicine as a new treatment for hair loss and thinning hair.

Please tell me about the merits obtained by entering the Kobe Medical Industry City.?

In addition to enhancing infrastructure facilities, many medical companies and organizations including leading research institutions are gathered, so it is easy to cooperate and collect information. The full support of local Kobe City is also great.
I think that it is the best choice for technological development of regenerative medicine as a comprehensive strength.
At our company, we were able to establish "Shiseido Cell Processing and Culture Center" at the Kobe Biomedical Creation Center, which is the core of R & D for commercialization of hair regeneration medicine, which enables cell culturing and processing, at an early stage.
I think that the information and the environment necessary for doing the research and business of the state-of-the-art medical treatment are established in the Kobe medical industry city city.

I think more will come sooner because of the collaborative effort and the tech capacity at Kobe. Meanwhile...

Cassiopea (Breezula) will post its results for last year at the end of this month. Hopefully we can learn something.

I know most people don't care about it but it is one of the few treatments which is in Phase II and Phase III soon. Might not be as effective but it would be refreshing to see something new FDA approved after decades.

What’s to say the cloned hairs won’t just end up suffering the same fate as those less fortunate follicles? Still got them genetics afterll

Transplanted hairs from the safe zone dont fall out. Should be the same for cloned follicles.

I don’t have a “safe zone”. It’s all falling out. Guess I’m fucked.

I live in Tokyo, Japan. Thank you.

It seems to be collected from the back of the head unaffected by alopecia.
The principle is the same as flocked hair.
It is a difference whether it is hair or cell.
