Recommended surgeons in the New England area

Hi All, I did a search but couldn't find anything. I'd like to get some surgeon recommendations if anyone has any for the Boston area. I'd be willing to travel to Rhode Island, Connecticut or New Hampshire also. The only transplant places I know of our the chain places. Bosley, Distafano etc. I...

My Zix Experience - How B6 And Zinc Have Saved My Hair

I read this post months ago and started to use Zix, it's been about 3 months of use and I've had terrible shedding. I think this is the only treatment that's ever made me shed. There are probably 20 hairs in the sink everytime I apply it. I haven't ever seen shedding like this and I've tried...

Switched from oral finasteride 1.25 to topical finansteride essengen f losing hair/shedding

Well, in general I would stick to one thing for minimum 1 year. Any kind of troubleshooting should be done with one variable at a time or you have no idea what fixed your issue. As for the original post. I don't think there was a question in there.

Long time finasteride users, does your hair go through shedding cycles?

I would not worry about tapering off at all. I honestly think once it's in you, the dosage can be cut down. Of course I'm not a doctor. That being said I haven't been able to find any studies done about long term finasteride use, if one was done, we may find that you can taper off without issue.

Long time finasteride users, does your hair go through shedding cycles?

I'm taking generic finasteride. When I started finasteride I had an obvious bald spot in the back of my head and very thin hair and finasteride 100% got rid of the bald spot in the back. Now, as mentioned my hair seems age appropriate and I'm fine where I'm at.....and no bald spot in the back of my head even with the...

Long time finasteride users, does your hair go through shedding cycles?

I've been on Finasteride for about 25 years and I notice no shedding as time goes by. As I've posted several times in previous posts, I'm now only taking Finasteride once a week and I'm maintaining what I have. I can't explain it but it's working. I been weaning off finasteride for about 5 years. Went...

1 Year On Finasteride - Hair Is Much Worse

If I had the hair you had in pic 1, I don't think I would have started finasteride. I would have stuck with minoxidil until you needed the pill. That being said, if you stop finasteride there is no telling what will happen.

Is there anything out there besides the big 3 that actually even remotely works?

No. Everything works a little but the big 3 is your best bet. I've been on Din for about, I don't know, 25 years. I started weaning off of finasteride about 7 years ago. I now take 1 pill a week and maintaining my hair loss. I've tried EVERYTHING over the past 25 years and they all may work a little but...

Kiier Laser hat - Results (lack of) and reviews

Hi all, I've been meaning to post this for awhile but haven't. I tried the Kiier laser comb about a year ago, I chose them because of their "money back guarantee" I used the comb religiously for 9 months, took pics every 3 months and I saw no improvement whatsoever! After the 9 months, I...

Diffuse Thinner Losing Ground On Finasteride

Hi, I use the 3 shampoos below. I just switch day to day in witch one I use. I can't say enough about the Vitabrid shampoo. I had never heard of it and it came across my news feed one day and I tried it. Works great, makes my hair look very thick and healthy. Not sure if it's helping me keep my...

Diffuse Thinner Losing Ground On Finasteride

I don't know if I have anything to add but I firmly believe that after awhile of finasteride you can cut down with the same results. I took finasteride everyday as directed for about 12 years, then cut down to Mon thru Friday for several years, then Mon., Wend, Fri for several more until at this point I only...

50 Days Into 0.5mg finasteride Daily And My Test/estradiol/progesteron Levels Havent Really Changed

46 years old. Which probably does have something to do with, and kind of another reason to stop taking it. It's just time to let it go, at some point I need to stop taking it. I have no intentions of taking this pill for the rest of my life, now is as good as time as any.

50 Days Into 0.5mg finasteride Daily And My Test/estradiol/progesteron Levels Havent Really Changed

Basically things are thinning where they seemed to have held up all this time. Back and front. I know it's never been proven to work on the front but I think it held onto frontal hairs for me.. but the back is also starting to thin out. Granted I've also been only taking it 3 times a week for...

50 Days Into 0.5mg finasteride Daily And My Test/estradiol/progesteron Levels Havent Really Changed

I'm actually finally coming to terms with quitting finasteride and going bald. Have you been in finasteride since 96? If so, you think it's still working. one of the reasons I'm thinking of quitting is because I don't think it's working as well as it used to.
