It's better to be a high Norwood without finasteride because you have hardly any hair left to save. The problem is for guys who are NW2/3 who are going to continue to bald behind their transplant. Those are the guys who might run into problems without finasteride.
To preface this, my opinion is based on only 3 weeks worth of obsessive research since realising I was balding.

If you get a transplant at the front, but continue to go bald behind it, and decide you don't want any more transplants, are you able to razor shave your head down to the skin? Or would the transplanted roots always be visible?
