Yeah I have alopecia universalis. It has taken away every single hair on my body and has caused my fingernails to stop growing and chip away.

Nice, I can't wait to try this drug out when it gets released. It would be nice if I can get my fingernails, eyebrows and eyelashes back.

When I was a kid I occasionally teased my dad's NW7. Now he teases my Norwood Infinity. Good old karma.

I think male pattern baldness and Alopecia are both just as bad but in different ways. In my case (alopecia universalis) losing my eyebrows, eyelashes and beard in addition to my head hair changed my appearance completely and for the absolute worse (I think I dropped a solid 3-4 points down the looks scale at...

Thanks very much for your kind words Wolf Pack - this forum has been nothing but a godsend in helping me cope with this issue :). Hopefully Aclaris can pull through with a treatment that works. I'll take almost anything at this point since I would at least like my nails back.

Thanks mate - can't wait to try some of that stuff. I wanted to choose an avatar that was my exact opposite as inspiration, something that pretty much epitomizes healthy hair. It was either Mufasa or Chewbacca - I went with the Lion King. :cool:

Yeah, it's a very odd disease. I now wear zero prescription glasses to cover up the lack of eyebrows and keep dust out of my eyes, but I miss being able to grow a decent beard.

That really sucks - poor guy. :(
