I'ts a tough call @Powerglide. I've been on 0.5 mg dutasteride MWF for 1 year now and without a doubt my hairloss has increased compared to periods before I started dutasteride. The same sh*t happened to me when I used propecia.
I'm trying to figure out if I should increase dutasteride to every day or just give it up.
Success? No.
For background, I used Propecia (brand name from US pharmacy) for 2 years in the past and I'm certain it increased the pace of my hair loss, which was very slow diffuse for the 10 years prior. In the 2 years on Propecia I developed uneven recession at my hairline, which used to...
You may just need to have different systems for different seasons. I don't wear a system currently, but I live in a very hot desert climate - temps hit about 44 C today. If i can ever get over my anxiety of wearing, I'd probably wear lace in the hottest months and skin in the others.
You can't extrapolate like that when it comes to hair loss and hair loss medications. Nothing is predictable. The only way to find out is to try.
There's a lot more going on in hair loss than just DHT. Reduce your dht and your body might adjust and increase sensitivity. Or you might find...
On a live chat on youtube today Dr. Cole, a hair transplant doctor in Atlanta/Miami, gave a glowing endorsement for a topical finasteride solution out of Italy from Dr. Insalaco. He claimed in that chat that he had no financial interest in the product and that it is superior to oral...
It looks great. Congrats.
The natural hair on the top, towards the back, back of your head seemed pretty thick and dense, or was it the lighting? If so, are you finding any issues with attachment in that area of the head?
Thanks. Congrats again. It’s so youthful compared to the before.
It took me 1.5 years to start finding my way, slowly, out of the fog of depression and loss of motivation (i believe) caused by finasteride. I'm still dealing with a lot of the behavior bullshit side effects due to finasteride, but every month i'm feeling more and more like my old self (not...
I'm thinking of swept back or to the side type style, or a side part. All three would expose most of the hairline. Is this a realistic option with a system, or would it be a constant battle of adjustment and fear?
Thanks.
Happy to hear of your success.
I'm on the fence about getting a hair system myself. Been looking at videos on YouTube and reading forums, but still haven't overcome my inertia.
What are the specs of the system? How do you attach? Do you expose your hairline?
