I'll post other messages in other areas to fully explain my situation. I'm not even sure why I'm writing - I know the only answer.
It started "shaving" my head in 2004, by that I mean using clippers to cut it close. My hair was in such terrible shape both in terms of loss and quality of what was left that there really wasn't much choice. I've moved from a low guard to now no guard and the closest setting.
White hairs started appearing on the sides in 2005. Now there's too many to pluck. I've been clipping every 3-5 days to keep it short short. I think that makes them a bit less noticeable.
I don't know what to do other than go to completely shaving my head. I'm almost to a Norwood IV anyway, with visible hair still on top and in the crown but obviously thinner. I don't want to see that stupid horseshoe on my head especially if part of it's going to be white.
I hate my hair like this but the alternative would be much worse. I'm short (5'8") with a slim build. Actually not so slim for the past few years but I look it clothed. Am losing weight largely motivated by the need to try to get more definition into my face. Anyway I've had a few shaved head=badass jokes, probably plenty more that aren't to my face. A total shave is going to make that worse. Its just going to look even more stupid. There's the bumps or acne or something issue too which has to be for another post.
I took my hairloss badly - to be explained elsewhere. This feels like another big jump trying to get over more ugliness.
