Hello :)

I have contacted Tsuji in order to have some news about their technology and since the last great interview made by HairLossTalk.com (published on september 2016) here : https://www.hairlosstalk.com/news/new-research/hair-primordiums-tsuji-organ-interview-sept2016/

News :
1. Recently, we successfully developed an expansion method of hair follicle-derived stem cells.
2. Next step: Trying to challenge of the expansion of human-derived cells
3. Clinical application in human at March 2019 (expected)

Here we go :

" Dear Doctor Tsuji,
I would like to thank you for all your hard work and spending your precious time to answer to many people.
I bought your book called "Organ Regeneration Based on Developmental Biology" and I read an interview with Riken and Organ technolgies about Hair Loss.

If it's possible, I would like to know if you have made some progress with the technology to cultivate epithelial stem cells of follicles, because last year it still remains a significant challenge globally.

Many thanks dear Doctor
" .

" Dear (John Doe),

Thank you for your contact regarding our work.

I am grateful that you had read my book and have interests to our hair follicle regeneration. Recently, we successfully developed an expansion method of hair follicle-derived stem cells, although the results are unpublished. We are now trying to challenge of the expansion of human-derived cells and plan to do the clinical application in human at March 2019.

I appreciate that you will continue to watch our study.

Sincerely,

Takashi

Just so everyone is on the same page, I think what Dr. Tsuji means by "expansion" is culturing. Not sure what he means by "human-derived" stem cells vs. hair follicle stem cells, though. Maybe he has been working with rat hair follicles so far?

Overall, Tsuji seems like a real bro ;_;

Also, I have no idea what brouillons are, but they sound yummy. I'll have two orders to go, please.

So they didn't worked with human cells and had problems with cultivation of animal cells (mesenchemycal cells or something like that)?

OMG you are the best!

I have a question though

If they start doing clinical application in 2019 will it be available potentially to people by 2020 for commercial release?

I assuming clinical application means to people in a study not a commercial release?

Doesn't clinical application in human mean release?

No. It's a trial for understanding effectiveness and safety of treatment. Tsuji/RIKEN plans to make commercial release for masses in 2020.

Yes they plan to commercial release in 2020 if all goes well.

Wouldn't it take years to commercialise after starting trials in 2019? Just like phase 1+2 etc.?

I just wonder would it be available to non japan citizens upon release. Or would it be accessible to the mass public at all.

If not I will just quit my job then and find a new one in a japan based office and try my best to be just one more inch closer to lord tsuji. Yeaaaaah

I think it will be like going to any country to have plastic surgery--you dont have to be a resident of Brazil to get plastic surgery there.

There is a VERY controversial procedure I think it is in Africa not sure--where people can go to make brown eyes turn blue...it is illegal to do this here in USA but 'Tiny" a woman on reality TV in USA went and had this done with her I think teenage daughter...so as US citizens they had a procedure done in the country that allows it...make sense?
SO not sure sure why in Japan it would be different and THIS is so much less dangerous in my opinion then messing with eye color.

here is an article explaining it is only done in Africa, pannama and Mid East and ILLEGAL in USA

All I wanna say is: who the fxxk cares about eye color when you have gorgeous hair like that? ffs its thicker than a wig

Joking aside, like people discussed before, there will be mass demand and we dont really know how they will react. But maybe lets not get to far ahead of ourselves as if this is already on the horizon.

Her eyes look better brown but I guess its something she always wanted...they look weird blue to me.

I like my brown eyes LOL I don't get the obsession of light eyes.

HAIR is everything. People don't know the true struggle until they face hair loss...all this other sh*t is like incidental.
