Alt-right to me means anti-feminism and support of traditional values, general opposition to the tumblr left (SJWs), and supporting race realism/ethno-nationalism. Two out of three means you're solidly in that category.
well what part of the tumblr left? the feminazis most people seem to be against.

i'm on the fence over whether races should stick together or not. i dont think interracial marriage/kids should be illegal, but it might be better to discourage it. it makes it a lot harder to have an identity. i used to be much more against it but i realized theres just a lot of bullshit surrounding interracial unions that aren't a result of the interracial-ness itself. like how mentally ill beta white men go for asians, or the trashy white girls go for blacks, or the simple geographical separation from family if a white guy brings an asian back to america (i know this one too well)

as far as race "realism" i do think an honest discussion on the state of black people is sorely needed, not a full on hate parade against how much crime blacks commit but actually getting to the root of the issue and working to fix it.

you've been told time and time again that you should stop. Please just stop.

Oh f*** off, where have you said I should stop? I turned the "trolling" thing on it's head and you just had to reply with vague sh*t and don't like getting called on it. Probably itching to make another follow-on from "being the bigger man" here.

Sure nobody wants to read it, especially you, but just keep coping with my projections alright, and I don't care anymore.

Don't get prissy because you made no sense and presented an idea like there was something behind it.

Also you have a tendency to address someone as if you've moved on as the bigger man and then a certain time later (in this case quickly) make a follow-on knife jab, and that's so damn petty. On top of that quickly replying to other things as if to say "I got my dig and have moved on" lol so transparent, and it'll happen again I'm sure.

There, how's that for pedantic. Retard.
It's also very petty to hope that a good-looking couple, who seem to be happy with each other, break-up sometime soon.
It really shows the character of people like @zircon to relish in this kind of outcome.
And most surprisingly, @exodus thinks the same.
His reasoning is the Asian dude, with the hot girlfriend, has a face that "pisses him off."
Very pathetic
I'm actually more disappointed in exo, to be frank, as I thought he was a reasonable human being.

I'm sorry to say but I agree with Zircon's prediction.

I'd define it like its name, in contrast to the vanilla right wing on the USA.

The mainstream right in the USA is concerned with cutting taxes on rich people, supporting Israel, supporting defense contractors, pretending to be pro-life, putting black people in jail, etc.

The alt right is more concerned with reducing immigration, it also has an anti-interventionist element, and is not as concerned with phony social issues like transgender bathrooms.

There's also a different level of faith on government. The mainstream right believes everything the government says. In contrast, Trump was able to (correctly) state during the campaign that government lies about inflation and unemployment.
This a good summary I think. I'm not too indulged into the specific history of politics, but with this last election I've started to pay more interest, which I think was the effect to a lot of the younger Americans.

I cant help but notice this association of racism, xenophobia, misogyny, etc. that are so quick to be thrown at people who disagree with the mainstream media/ideas. I live in a liberal area and even chatting with some of these liberals they completely disavow those that just throw out one of these buzzwords and screech.

I think the political tide in not only America, but Europe too, is shifting it seems.

The mainstream right has failed, and the mainstream left will fail soon as well. There are still however some stubborn people who refuse to recognize Hillary's inadequacies as a candidate. They blame her loss on Bernie Sanders, Putin, etc. Lol.

The accusations of xenophobia, etc can be understood in terms of leftism becoming a religion, with the tenets of progressive ideology being a catechism, and support for left-wing posts on Facebook and Twitter being a liturgy. It provides a sense of identity and thus fills a vacuum:

"Who are you?"
"I'm a progressive."
"What do you want?"
"I'm with her."

In this way personhood is defined. Further, by defining those who disagree as evil, one also defines and delineates community. We thus have the spectacle of left-wing people everywhere saying that they're apprehensive about Thanksgiving or Christmas because they'll have to share a room with their right wing relatives who might challenge them on the death penalty for five minutes. There's no equivalent on the right. Recently, a left-wing woman I know told me that she was relieved when her grandmother died because it meant one less vote for the Republicans.

Note separately that this is closer to being a religious community rather than a scientific one as the pious cannot explain their positions. They believe in global warming but don't know what CO2 does. They believe that Putin controls Trump because "he has the dirt". They think that veganism is healthy because cholesterol is bad. The list goes on.

I don't take pleasure in him losing his gf, I'm just making a statement of probabilities. Good-looking (relatively) girl with advanced balding azn = very high probability of going south unfortunately.
Okay, fair enough. It does seem possible.
I mean, this girl would be most likely be tempted with offers on a daily basis, both through social media and in her day to day world.

On the other hand..

One thing we can't tell from a few instagram photos, though, is the kind of connection these two have.
Maybe they really do just click in a way that produces longevity.

You sometimes strike me as more of a humanist.

It's insane the divisions I'm hearing from over there. Luckily even the most liberal minded people I know, even though they literally hate Trump, are pretty open minded and embracing towards other people's views.

I actually do somewhat hate him as well but there's no way I'd consider myself a Liberal in terms of American politics.

What's the difference?

I'm a leftist but of a different breed. More aligned with Canadian and European socialist movements than the social climbing agglomeration of SJWs that defines the US left. The most significant difference would be the emphasis on economic issues, which the US left largely ignores in favor of transgender bathrooms and taking down civil war monuments.

ETA: Other difference would be my skepticism to militarism. The US Left largely supports military intervention all over the world.

I don't get that, I'd never let political beliefs make me view my family that way. Unless perhaps they were just total nut cases and hell bent on destroying the world. Though I'd do my best to try to educate them if say, they were for communism lol. My sister is a leftist, we don't agree on some things, but I know she means well and she's willing to discuss matters with me civilly and vice versa.

Facts don't care about people's feelings, but then we have to think about how those facts are actually interpreted and what they mean.

I watched it some weeks ago but from what I remember her mom's extreme political liberalism is cope for her abhorrent close minded attitude towards people in her life. I'd say it's a common trait, she justifies herself as a good person because on a large scale identifies with peace and open mindedness, to make up for the destruction she causes on a small scale. Though it damn near broke my heart when I heard this bae still defending her mother "I know she just wanted to push the best out of me" JFC too much, that poor girl.

But her mother is similar to antifa, posturing themselves as the moral authority on how to stop oppression, and looking for any chance to literally beat people with sticks for simply attending a protest wearing certain hats or t-shirts.

Her dad was born and raised in Berkley, California!
Poor kid, no wonder she rebelled and turned to the right!

Look, regardless of this girl's politics, she proudly flies the flag in her bedroom and I loves that.

Antifa is so anti-fascist, so much that if you disagree with them they'll destroy property, intimidate and beat people, and spread communist propaganda. I saw another one this bae's videos, where she was walking around campus and stumbled upon fliers with Vladimir Lenin on them promoting it, calling it socialism lol. UC Berkley is crazy. Students should be attending these higher institutes of learning to have their thoughts challenged, not to be in this echo chamber for 4 years.

I've been out to Berkeley before a few times and at a glance you wouldn't know how f*****g nutty it is. Although it is obviously left based and you'll mainly interact with hard line leftists, even they will tell you the horror stories of those people around them at campus and just how extreme their real views are.

Yes that was the Lenin poster, I saw the same one (kinda odd as those are actually the only 2 I've really watched and they've both come up in discussion). But I want to rewatch that as the poster had a hilariously ironic slogan on it.
