AUS-131, through downregulation of the androgen receptor, may offer a novel approach to treatment of acne and other androgen-related disorders including hair loss.

Looks like that page has been taken off the site. They do list another DermaHeal product -- is this basically the same thing?

Any ideas why RU wasn't released? I heard that apparently the company pursuing to get RU branded estimated that they weren't going to make as much money as Merck and dropped it. Any reported success here with RU?finfighter said:I AM AWESOME said:Anyone know when CB/RU will get released at the earliest. Might start taking minoxidil. but will never go near a finasteride tablet. Just hope minoxidil can/will last me 2/3 years.
The company which own's the RU patent never released it, but you can order it from labs, members of this forum have been using it for years. Do a search for RU58841 on here.
The CB will not be released for years, but we are getting ready to order some from a lab for the first time, see the thread entitled, Getting CB-03-01.

RU58841 is never going to hit the market as a commercial product, but Cosmo is apparently starting the FDA process with CB-03-01 this year; they've stated that they intend to file an IND. However, it's not just for androgenic alopecia, but for other androgen disorders as well, such as acne, and I'm sure it'll be helpful for seborrheic dermatitis too. Apparently it's very potent, and gentle when it comes to side effects.Bryan said:I AM AWESOME said:Any ideas why RU wasn't released? I guarantee you that no company is ever going to spend hundreds of millions of $$$ just to get FDA approval for RU58841, which would obviously be a requirement for it to become a serious product to be used against male pattern baldness. Even Merck is disappointed with their sales of finasteride for that purpose!

Rogaine foam is great and adding tricomin is a good idea also, you should see some results! But you really need to do something to address androgens as well sense they are the underlying causes of Adrogenetic-Alopecia, I do undertsand that you want to avoid pills though...
finfighter said:To be honest I'm not sure of the dosing of Aminexil, you could probably use it daily if you wanted, because it's in spectral DNC minoxidil solutions, I think and, you use that daily, maybe look into the amount that they put in their products.

Hey finfighter, I have been looking into aminexil and confirmed that the treatment consists of 42 x 6ml vials to be used daily at anytime for 6 weeks, twice a year..
pretty expensive but i am hoping to find it cheap when i go to europe in a couple months.
Hey if you don't mind, could you post a link, to where you saw it for sale?

Only 6 weeks in a year? Are you sure? Not a continuation of treatment daily? Is it's half life that long?
