Absolute tiredness, and sexual related side effects. That's why the possibility of impurities causing this would be great, because it means there is "hope." But we'll see.

The sleep-related issues have been widely reported by setipiprant users.

Nice, good job. I'm curious to the outcome.

I find the statement of that Jashonik guy quite ridiculous though: "There is no need to do NMR, FTIR etc with each sample when there is standard available".

Go e-mail top tier laboratories and see what they have to say about that.
fully agree. the standard makes the nmr test easier and cheaper. but still unavoidable.

My question: Widely reported by seti users using product from what supplier?

Actually, i don't think it's a supplier related issue.

Prostaglandin D2's role in the sleep regulation system has been fairly known since 1988, it's a a physiological regulator of sleep in mammalians' brains.

Identified as a sleep-inducing substance, so feeling tired is not uncommon, i guess taking in before going to bed should do the trick, not in the morning. But nonetheless it will definetly be a common side effect of this treatment, impurity is not related.

Forgot to mention that you have CRTH2 receptors in your brain aswell, so taking an antagonist like Seti or Fevi will have some effects

Damn, We just need this but topical and hoping it will not go systemic. I don't understand how pharmaceutical choose the vehicle and the drugs. I mean, what the fuc... was thinking Merck ! " O sure, we can kill the main androgen in men but not problem at all, cause I saw some hermaphrodites withous DHT and they are alive ! " . Hope Allergan is not making the same mistake.

Yes, but what receptor ? PDG2 have many receptors, CHRT2 is just one of them

I don't know for sure, only thing i know is that CRTH2 PGD2 receptors have been identified in brain.

And that PGD2 have a sleep regulation role in brain, wheter it's related i don't know, can be...

I really hope it's not, and opposed to Fina/Duta side effects, it's not that bad actually.

Like you said, what the f*** was Merck thinking
Hoping a topical PGD2 compound like the one Follica is working on should negate these potential sides

To everyone asking about sleep issues, no I've not had any sleep issues, but that's possibly because I take it right before I go out for the day. I would recommend that to anyone taking seti as well. 800mg/day btw

Actually first Kythera trial seems to point the opposite.

Setipiprant's side-effects reported in trials were: dry mouth, nausea, somnolence, hepatic enzyme elevation, and anxiety.

Quote comes from slideshow from Kythera before Allergan bought it, seems it's not sleep disorder but somnolence, so like i mentioned before, taking it before going to bed seems fair, taking it in the morning could lead to somnolence through the day aka tiredness.

Try to retrieve these slides but no luck so far, i remember side effects rate were quite low anyway

IIRC, pgd2 was responsible for deep sleep. so the reason for tiredness is that u didnt get enough of deep sleep. thats why it is recommended not to take seti before bed.

Yeah, you may be right.

Does Seti cross the BBB?

That's a damn good question dude, i know antihistamines like cetirizine do in a little amount tho, but as for Seti, i really don't know
