I told him I have been noticing hair loss for the past few years but it's accelerated the past year and went from just recession to more diffuse type thinning on top. He said judging by my temples that the "right one is fine, but the left is mildly receded". He also took a look at my hair density up top via a magnifying tool of sorts and said he sees no sign of thinning. As a result he said he recommends doing nothing and he doesn't think it'll progress. However based on pictures/the mirror and just the way my hair feels (and also the opinion of members of this forum), I know for certain that it's thinning up top and I'm receding. What do you guys suggest? Take his word or see another derm?
